Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with Fallout 76's gameplay, open world, and action-packed features, citing the beautiful scenery and many areas to explore. However, some players have reported issues with bugs, server stability, and occasional lag. The lack of a compelling storyline was also a common criticism. While many found the price reasonable, the game's technical issues remain a point of concern for some.

A good game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't get the intense hatred for this game. Yes, it has bugs. Many games do, especially at launch. It's not as if they're never going to fix any of them. That doesn't automatically make it a terrible game. I've played around 55 hours so far and have had a great time. I haven't encountered anything game-breaking. This will easily be a 5 star game for me, personally, once they get some more bugs squashed and up the stash limit. If you liked Fallout 4, I'd recommend this game. My advice is if you're looking to buy it, don't let all the negative reviews influence you. Watch some gameplay videos and decide for yourself. Or wait for fixes and buy it then. Don't let all the negative Nancys make up your mind for you. P.S. Just because it's on sale right now after launching a week ago doesn't mean it's a bad game. It's the season for sales. I mean, Spyro came out the day before this game did and it's on sale at various places also. Just saying...

Very good game don't trust the bad reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was worried about online only but you really don't need to play with others. I have had a great time playing with others but imo fallout is single player so thats how I spend most of my time. No NPC's no problem I like that its not over populated it after the bombs dropped so it makes sense that its only a few people and robots. The story is not a strong as previous fallouts but it is there. I have played more than 80 hours and I can't wait everyday to jump back on. Try it for yourself and make up your own mind. This game is good now and I think it will be great in time.

Great game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started playing this about a week after it was release and I've had very few issues with it. The world is open for you to explore and it's a lot of fun doing so and most of the people complaining won't give a chance. There were a lot of bugs upon release but I've never seen a game get so many fixes and updates as this one has since it's release and most of the big ones were fixed immediately. Many of these updates released are already changes made because of what the fans wanted so they are listening to us. This is pvp but set it to passive mode and you don't have to worry unless you become wanted (stealing stuff). Even then, you can be killed but the only thing you drop upon death is your "junk" (crafting supplies) but you keep everything else and you can go back and pick it back up as long as nobody else grabs it first...no big deal really. I have it on the PS4 and my son on the Xbox One and we both don't get the complaints...it's a lotta fun and I recommend it.

Gets good...Later!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was SUPER excited for this game, when it first came out I was a little eh.. right away. The first couple quests and the overall starting feel didn't feel that good. HOWEVER! I stuck with it and I am completely satisfied now. For one, some of the quests you do later are actually pretty long and actually really well made. No spoilers of course.. but a select couple quests were very dark. Really enjoyed that. Bethesda has already released a statement saying all new content later on is free AND they're adding in so much more later.. such as ANOTHER vault opening up in game... All in all, I really enjoyed the game... Really did.

An amazing game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive played alot of Fallout 4 over the years and it was an amazing game but i ALWAYS got stuck on missions and found it annoying sometimes. With Fallout 76 it brings a whole new chapter to the Fallout franchise allowing you to play missions with your friends. At first the game can be hard to figure out (especially with th new VATS system) but as you level up you gain more knowledge of the game and realise how much of a brilliant game it is. The map is HUGE with hundreds of places to explore and they have also added the new battle royale gamemode which is a really quick way of gaining xp.

Much improved. Enjoyable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tons of content and updates since release have made this a fun game to play. The only issue I have is that there are still occassions where the server randomly disconnects.

This is not a FALLOUT Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a fan of the previous Fallout games, you will probably not like this game. Online only, no NPC's, the missions feel empty, the world feels empty; the only alive characters are other real players and mutated animals. No in game dialogue except with maybe other online players. Which really isn't part of the game's story and can really be annoying or derogatory. If you were looking for a game like the previous Fallout games, this is not it. It is completely different. I played for maybe an hour, got killed by another online player who waited until I was almost dead fighting some thing with an axe (which I have no desire to even interact with other players) and then would have had to pay caps to re-spawn. Thats when I turned the game off. I have played every single Fallout game and this game has went in an entirely new direction. A direction in which as a diehard Fallout fan I do not like at all. In my opinion Bethesda just destroyed the Fallout franchise and they can't fix this game. DO NOT BUY if you are expecting a game anywhere close to the other Fallout games.

A dumpster fire is also better with friends
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst game of 2018, likely the worst AAA title of the decade, and one of the clunkiest, most embarassingly unfinished half efforts in my personal gaming history. Dont take my word for it though, just look around the internet. The animosity this game has generated isn't imaginary and limited to a few players who "dont understand the game" or "haters." Imagine a game built on a graphics engine that labors like a mine mule to achieve an open world that would give a 360 a run for its money. Now imagine that graphics engine is attached to a crafting system that brings nothing new to the table since its introduction 3 YEARS AGO. Now imagine that this farce of an effort removes any major narrative, story arc. or meaningful play incentive and replaces it with holotapes, robotic voice over, and plenty of fetching (essentially doing the work a couple of people with radios could do themselves in a few seconds). Now put all of this together in a jar and shake it super hard until it doesnt work, then pour the contents out into a hard drive. Now, market it heavily, ambiguously, and push it out prematurely after a brief BETA that was actually just a server stress test and didn't address A SINGLE BUG PRIOR TO RELEASE. Voila! Fallout 76. If that is all too hard to imagine, then just whip on down to your nearest retailer and throw your money at this aggressively terrible example of everything wrong with the gaming business in 2018. That way they'll make a sequel.

Don't waste your hard earned money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DONT BUY for now. Big Fallout fan here, but this game is a disappointment. Played the BETA, was hoping that it was just the BETA that had issues and the final product was going to be a lot better and with better graphics. What a disappointment. This game needed so much more work, it was not ready for a release. Too many glitches, bugs, and enemies just coming out of nowhere, disappearing and reappearing again once another player enters the area and these are just of the few issues with this game. The biggest thing is that this game feels EMPTY and the new 50GB update did not help at all, some of the graphics looks even worse, it feels like a 90s game. No game story at all, the entire game is collecting junk , which is also very limited by the storage weight and walking around and completing empty quests by yourself since every other online player on the map seem to be wanting to play on their own. Do not buy the game, at least not yet. Hopefully.... Bethesda will fix the game, lol, lol

Terrible, in its current state
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is NOT worth $60. And, at the time of this review, it's $40, and I'm not even sure it's worth that. It's broken, buggy, and if you have bad server connections, unplayable. I'd recommend waiting 3-6 months until they fix all the issues, AND they bring down the price to $29.99....THEN it'll be worth it.

Not a good example of the fallout franchise.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only played fallout 4 from the franchise but love it. Bought all the dlc content and have played for days and days on end. I was SOOO happy to hear about the new version coming out. I preordered and when playing the beta realized this isn’t really a fallout game at all. Yes, it looks familiar but the similarities end there. Gone are the cool interactions with in game characters. Gone are the in depth missions. So all you are left with is some badly organized AI enemies and poorly executed PvP system. I was so looking forward to playing this game for months to tide me over till some other games come out but I was sadly disappointed. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. we have to send the maker a message that the half complete and poorly thought out games will no longer just be bought by default. And to be honest we need to send a message that Fallout was great the way it was. We don’t need some multiplayer attempt to ruin it.

Don't waste your money or time!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played hundreds of hours on Fallout 4 and loved it. So naturally, I thought Fallout 76 would be a fun, new challenge to play. WRONG. I don't believe that I have ever played a game that is so buggy on a console. Just about time I almost kill a Super Mutant, BAM! Game locks up. Close out game, start it up again just to have to face the boss agian. TLDR; Very buggy, sluggish, poor storyline. Don't buy
