if you are familiar with the series, then all i need to tell you is that the story is fresh, there are a few new gadgets and it's the same ol' Far Cry franchise (except that i mean that in the best way possible!) if you haven't played this before then you should definitely give it a go. it's an open world adventure with many different objectives to take on with several different ways to attack them. there is the main story, and then several, SEVERAL optional adventures that you can take on to increase your skills, the story, and weapons.

This is not just a casual FPS like other Far Cry's and some of the mechanics are sometime frustrating but if you have the time, and you need lots of time! It can be fun,

Game is ok not as good as the first two. Multiplayer is lacking my interest but overall not a bad game

I have never written a review for anything I've ever purchased except my most recent car. But this game has made me want to write one. From what I've heard, it is similar to Far Cry 3. I've never owned a Far Cry game, but I have to say this is the best game I've ever played for any system. You cannot get bored. The graphics are outstanding. The map is comparably massive to Skyrim. The difference is you can catch yourself becoming bored exploring Skyrim, or at least I did. With Far Cry, every step is something exciting. The story line is fantastic and well thought out. The controls are not hard to master. Beginner and Pro gamers could both enjoy this game. There are a lot of references to current affairs even in the celebrity world such as the antagonist thinking of inviting Kanye West to visit him. I catch myself laughing a lot throughout the game which is also something I admire about this game. The story in theory is serious, but the game play and the events that occur are hilarious. I've played this game for countless hours and have only completed about 12% of it. Within the game itself, you have to choose your path. This gives more incentive to replay it and choose different paths next time around. Well worth the purchase. I'd give it six stars if I could.

It's not as good as far cry 3. But its not a bad game in general.

Game gets stuck, content not what I expected......

The game wasn't for me. I don't like game play and how the game is setup.

I played for 5 mins and was already bored. Graphics weren't next gen.

I love a good challenge. But this game seems to think a good challenge means making the game hard. Even on easy they throw weather elements, nature and enemies at you at once. Example one mission you have to go up into the Mountains..ok cool. You then need oxygen..fine i found a oxygen tank..oh but it runs out so you have to find another all the while trying to get to you way point, so you climb and run into enemies, but then you get attacked by 2 snow leopards while fighting off 5 bad guys and your running low on oxygen and you need to restore your health. Very frustrating. The game also has a few major bugs. Sometimes after dying, it won't load the level again. It gets hung up. Getting out of the game doesn't fix the issue. You have to go into another game..then back into far cry 4. Also your vehicles will disappear on you if you jump out and run off to help out a Karma mission. The arrows that were stuck in your vehicle by passing enemies are there floating in mid air but the vehicle is gone. Over all the game is amazing. Great Graphics. The auto driver to get to the way points is very helpful. Wish they had a fast travel more often. The game is frustrating at times but good.

Wasn't sure about it when i ordered this game, and can say I will probably just put it on the shelf so it can collect dust.

This game has had me addicted since day one. Huge open world map and countless missions I've completed, with my game completion of only 33% after 13 hours of gameplay. Then again I don't rush to finish my games. The game kind of reminds me of Assassin's Creed because some side missions require towers to be liberated like in Assassin's Creed. Very good game I highly recommend it.

the multi player format is the worst I've ever seen 5 vs 5 takes 10 minutes to finally get into a match they better fix this closer to far cry 3 I will never buy this company's games again very disappointed

This is a great game, there is lots to do, lots to unlock, and a great story mode to play through providing lots of game time. Love that you can ride some animals and how not only the enemies can attack you but also some hostile animals can as well.

This was a new game for us to try since we had not played any of the earlier Far Cry games. It was great right from the start. Good story line and excellent graphics. For those who like the Call of Duty games you will like this as well.

Other than improved graphics not much has changed. Still the same great game with an In depth story line and a huge world. Cool new toys to stroll around with.

This game is a lot of fun especially when playing co-op with a buddy! The graphics are nice, the wilderness environments are vast and the array of weapons and vehicles are impressive.
