Whether its riding beasts, exploring the immersive open world, or beating the living snot out of someone with a two handed club and sending them flying. This game is a worthy addition to the Far Cry Franchise.

Awesome game, 10,000 BC setting is excellent. Story isn't as bad as people make it out to be, they're cavemen...it's simple and makes sense for the theme. Combat is fluid and the graphics are outstanding on PS4

I am only a few hours into this game, but so far, it has been very fun and definately different. I tend to like the games and movies that are original ideas or something with a "never been done" type idea. This game handles that need greatly. I really love how you have to hunt, build, and forage to basically survive. There are plenty of side quests and lots of new techniques to learn, as well as animals to tame to help you on your Survivor type quest. And you get to build your village. There is plenty to do, lots of amazing looking environments to explore, and vicious Sabretooth tigers to hunt. Get your inner caveman on =)

Being a Far Cry fan, I was not really convinced that the game-play would be engaging and satisfying given the fact that they have taken the game to the medieval times. But I am happy to report that I was not disappointed. This is a unique game, which is not only gorgeous and absolutely stunning to look at but also brilliant game-play wise. The player progression in the game is very unique and in my opinion there is nothing quite like it out there in the market. It maintains its original feel even though the setting is very different from the previous entries. This is a solid 8.5 in my opinion and I am sure people will enjoy it, even those who are not necessarily FPS or TPS gamers.

Far Cry Primal is a breath of fresh air! The caveman/prehistoric setting is a nice change of pace from the typical first-person BRO shooter. I encourage any gamers to give it a try.

    Not an Essential Backlog Play

Far Cry: Primal had been in my backlog since shortly after it released, but I just now got the chance to play. Considering I loved Far Cry 3 but never played Far Cry 4, Primal's "redundancy" criticism didn't bother me since I attributed it to it's release being shorty after Far Cry 4's. It's a solid game with good customization and enjoyable combat. The Beastmaster aspect is the most interesting and offers even deeper combat options. The problem I have with the game is that the world is oversaturated. You would expect the stone age to be a bit more desolate. Combat, as good as it is, wears thin just because you're in it so much. For instance, I had set a waypoint to claim a campfire 50m from my position (to establish a respawn before setting out on a longer joirney to a quest objective), but got sidetracked for 30 minutes because on the way to the campfire, I encountered 2 packs of wolves and the ensuing fight led me into a skirmish between my tribe and a group of enemies. After I finished off the wolves and rival tribe members, my beast companion pulled a brown bear that 1-shot it and chased me all over the map because I wasn't yet strong enough to kill it. Needless to say, I never got around to reaching the quest objective that night. This may seem like a good problem to have, but it isn't. The combat is great, but gets stale because it occurs too often and there isn't enough customization or variation (and there's a lot) to keep it fresh at the constant pace. "Your own adeventure" becomes hard to maintain since the game doesn't let you focus on what you're doing because it's too busy throwing everything in the world at you at all times. Luckily, the bow (and it's variations) is almost as fun as in Skyrim, so that helps keep it going for the long haul.

I've always really liked Farcry's forumla for their games. The game mechanics are great, the weapons are limited, but if you like using the bow, you'll be fine. Crafting is still my biggest addiction. The world is beautiful and well detailed. The biggest short coming is the games story. There are a couple of interesting characters, but nothing feels organic, I just enjoyed playing around in the world and hunting the rare animals. There's a good 20 hours or so of fun to have and would only take about 30 hours to platinum the game if you're interested in doing that.

This is basically Far Cry 4.5 with the same engine, controls, and open world missions. Not that it's a bad thing, since the learning curve is minimal. The story line makes it worth the money (for me). I was skeptical about it being in prehistoric times, but it seems to work.

I want to start off by saying I can't stop playing this game! I've never played Far Cry before to be honest I was never interested in it but I'm so glad I bought this game I bought it right around Black Friday it was on sale for $14.99 and it was the best $15 I've ever spent Call of Duty is one of my favorite games but it's refreshing to play something different totally different every once in awhile I recommend this game to anyone that looking for something different the level first person shooter and always wondered what it was like to be a caveman you will not be disappointed!

While not as good as Far Cry 3 or even 4, Primal delivers us a good enough Far Cry experience to hold us over not the next numbered installment. I look forward to other new and unique experiences as part of the Far Cry license.

A great game with a ton to do. If you liked Far Cry 4 you will feel right at home. It has a large world, a lot of upgrades to get, and interesting quests and characters.
