I was attracted by the concept, however is just a far cry very light, that does not explore deep enough the idea, technically I beleive is far below from far cry 4. If you have not played to far cry 4, can be an option, but if you have so, totally disappointing game.

Not one of the best far cry games. I have loved them all until I played this one. I think they pushed it out too soon from FC4. Seems like they put little to no thought in this game.

Successfully Brings FarCry Into A New Era

Let me be clear: I'm a huge FarCry fan and have been since FarCry 3 in 2012. FarCry 3 was the surprise hit that year. And while the formula has been repeated since in titles like Blood Dragon and FarCry 4, FarCry Primal feels like the most unique departure yet and at the same time more of what we've had before. The focus on visceral melee clubs, the excellent bow and arrow, and animal taming make for top notch combat. I'm 5-10 hours and don't miss an AR or silently sniping my way through every Fort. The developers cleverly implemented many of FarCry's systems into the distant past, such as the Owl (Binoculars) and grappling hook. And it works. FarCry Primal is as fun and compulsive as the series has ever been. Simple as that. Still, this is a FarCry game (read Ubisoft) through and through. If you've had enough FarCry (or AC or Watch_Dogs) look elsewhere because you will be capturing Bonfires (Towers) to reveal sections of a map. Taking over Outposts for XP and fast travel points. Looting collectibles, skinning animals, crafting, unlocking skills, and eliminating baddies stealthily. The map and unlocks feel very similar to FarCry 4 and the GPS mini-map feels not only feels out of place for 10,000 BCE, but you can quickly find yourself simply running from one objective marker to the next. There's not really anything new here. Having 100% Far Cry 3 & Blood Dragon on Xbox and Platinumed Far Cry 4 on PS4, I for one am enjoying the experience (again). It's a meal I've had many, many times, and for some that's a turn off, but for me it's so irresistible.

Good game but without transportation kind of ruins the game. The owl view is cool.

I think the Far Cry games are good but they seem to rush this game out and it is horrible. I'm glad I got it on sale and didn't buy it for full price.

This games graphics feel like PS2, the missions are extremely repetitive, if this game cost $9.99 I would still contemplate buying it.

So I bought this game on a whim as I needed a game to hold me off till the Division and Dark Souls 3 get released. Haven't played a Far Cry game since 1 & 2 way back in the day. Blown away by it so far with 6hrs played. Visuals are top notch, near Witcher 3 quality. Combat feels distinct and you can feel really feel the weight of your weapons. Harder than I thought it would be so it gives that feeling of accomplishing something when you do it without being frustrating. I was pleasantly surprised and I can't wait to see what more it has to offer.

Something feels a little off about Far Cry Primal. While masquerading as a full-fledged Far Cry sequel (albeit without the numbering scheme), it feels like something is missing. I can't really put my finger on it, but the game seems to feel like a half step between official releases. But what a half-step it is! This game is great fun and looks beautiful. The move to prehistoric times was a smart choice. The emphasis on moving at the speed of a human (no vehicles) and the requirement of mostly up front battles (you do have a bow and throwing spears) adds an intensity that can be missing from gun battles. The game has many fun side activities along with a full story. In this scenario, you play a cave man who is part of a tribe beset by two rivals. The two attacking civilizations, while sharing common enemy types, feel distinct in their battle methods. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this game, but don't expect a revolution along the likes of Far Cry 3 or 4.

    Back to the Stone Age!

I have never played the Far Cry series before this and I gotta say this game is awesome! It is a change from the normal shooters but using all of the primitive weapons in the game is really fun. No cities here just untamed wilderness! They did a great job on this game and the language the cave people speak in the game shows the effort put forth by the developers to make this as realistic of a game as they could.
