I approached this game with an open mind, due to enjoying the previous installments, but running around in a loincloth had me concerned about the entertainment value of it all. While it isn't a bad game, I feel that it is lacking excitement. The animals get bland and there are only so many enemy tribesmen that I am willing to slaughter. I honestly feel that this game should have included "boss fights", depite technically having them already. Yes, the Beast Master hunts can be considered boss fights, but they play out the same way that hunting the lesser versions go, and I feel that the BM hunts should have been reserved for something to break the tedium of this game as a whole. Which reminds me...the tamed elite beasts are horrible sidkicks to have around! Two wolves can take down the 'elite' sabertooth??? The so called 'fodder'enemy of the game? Sorry, but the sabertooth was an apex predator. While I did find some small enjoyment in it, I shelved it long before it was over and pobably won't return to it. Maybe it is time to put this franchise to rest?
