Customers are saying

Customers recognize Far Cry Primal's engaging gameplay and immersive prehistoric setting as major highlights, with positive feedback also directed toward the story and animal taming mechanics. However, some players found the map design unoriginal and the repetitive nature of the later game stages to be drawbacks. The ease of use and price point were also frequently praised. A few players mentioned that the language barrier presented by the game's setting was a minor inconvenience.

The gameplay is similar to every other farcry but the prehistoric weapons and stuff is fun. It's a nice variant and is enjoyable. A must have for far cry fans.

Primal feels like not quite a full game, but not quite a small, downloadable game, either, so think of it as being somewhere between Far Cry 4 and Blood Dragon. I say this because it does feel an awful lot like Far Cry 4 without changing much (other than the setting, of course) and with less to do (and a very boring, throwaway story). That said, it is fun if you like the basic foundation and mechanics of Far Cry, it is very pretty (though very brown), and I can't deny the joy that comes from having my own tiger follow me around who I can also pet whenever I feel like it.

Not the most memorable game but has some decent game play and graphics. Lots to discover and do but the bad guys are kind of meh. Still worth playing.

I would highly recommend the game. Very fun to play, lots of side missions. It's hard for me to put down. However I have it 4 of 5 stars, because I've had issue with a items and waypoints not showing up on tube map where their supposed to be

Best Far Cry since Far Cry 3. Some may not like the fact that there are no guns or vehicles in this, but it did not bother me. In fact, it made it more fun, being very primitive and have to hunt and gather your tools and food in order to craft weapons and grown your tribe. The world of Oros is amazingly beautiful and dangerous too. Plenty of rivals to take out and plenty of animals trying to kill you! I enjoyed everything about this game, even the side missions are fun. If you want a SP game with a HUGE open world to explore and like games like Far Cry and Dying Light, you definitely should give this a shot.

It's a far cry game with sticks and stones. Playing it for the first time it feels fresh. However after a few hours it feels like the same old stuff. Only buy if you enjoy far cry games.

A great spin off from the Far Cry franchise. Open world prehistoric game play where you also get to be a beast master! Take down a mammoth using a honey badger!

The game itself is both enjoyable and challenging. The biggest problem with the game, however, is that it will randomly restart. This is a glitch in the game. It will happen generally somewhere between 30 and 45 percent into it. Playing for an hour can often only get you 1 - 2% further in and when you save and stop, it will sometimes restart rather than resume when you log in again. We were told about 50% of the games have the glitch. If you get one without the glitch, it is a good game.

Take the dream ("tripping") sequences from Far Cry 4 and make that a whole game! - Some exec in ubisoft While that might not be the worst thing it wasn't the best either. Mammals would have been cooler as dinosaurs (see ubisofts online poll asking for the next far cry idea when dinosaurs won) but alas I digress. It was an entertaining game but the story was ultimately flat. Love conquering bases, hates gimmick fights. Try hard to not enjoy the living heck out of rising a sabertooth tiger into battle. I dare you.

Good game, great for the price time consuming to beat. Explore a whole world an use resources to craft weapons an huts, ride saber tooth tigers an mammoths.

    Far Cry: Primal Review

Far Cry primal is a familiar game with a twist. Players of previous titles in the series know exactly what to expect. While I found the gameplay a bit repetitive at times, I did enjoy the prehistoric setting, and had a good time playing the game.

I wasn't sure I would like this since it's set in the Stone Age. So that means no guns and vehicles. Well to my surprise it's actually pretty fun. I was never a bow and arrow type person but the bow became my number one weapon. It's also pretty fun bashing enemies with clubs and spears. There's still a lot of exploring trying to find collectibles and capturing enemy outposts. Even though it's a different take on the far cry series, it's still a lot of fun and kept me coming back for more.

I have been playing this game off and on for the last couple of weeks. It is fun. I like the open world aspect of the Far Cry series. I wish they had an option to turn off the caveman talk and have them speak English (or whatever language you want). I also am a little disappointed with the lack of weapons, but what do you expect from the time period. Sniping with the owl is a nice touch.

Fun game, didn't spend much time with it before the division came out and for that reason can't give a full review. But if you like previous far cry series then this one will be right up your alley.

Primal is ambitious in breaking from the traditional mold of far cry games. For that it is worth a try. However, it can become tiresome reading the cutscene subtitles and I would prefer better ranged options than the bow. On the positive side, though, it scratches the far cry itch of taking over certain camps and expanding your reach over the map. Please keep in mind that I have not finished the game, but I doubt that will change my assessment of the above.

FarCry Primal. I love this game!! It has lots of challenges all the way through. I have been playing this a lot and cant get enough!! It is set sort of in a caveman theme. You wander through the land to find items you need to survive. You hunt animals for food and furs and to keep them from eating you. You fight off enemy attackers trying to kill you and your tribe. Lots of excitement!! By the way, I'm a 65 year old woman, so it's not just for the kids!! Anyone can enjoy playing this!!
