Nice prime lens

The subject is super detailed while blur makes you concentrate on subject. Too close though will make auto focus little trippy.

I’ve had my hands on almost every lens Sony has made for their mirrorless systems, and this lens in particular is a tricky one. I gave this two stars simply due to the autofocus. It is extremely slow, loud, and inaccurate when not in perfect conditions. It’s truly awful. Not to mention that the lens actually extends a minor amount in the focusing process. The image quality is great - it has a stellar aperture - and the price speaks for itself.. but I simply cannot recommend it due to the focus motors.

Nice budget lens for portrait

Nice sharp lens and nice out of focus areas when you want that soft bokeh background. I use it mainly for nature photography. All in all a great lens for the price.

Good budget lens

Theres better out there but this will work for someone on a budget. Also works as an everyday lens if you dont want to drop a ton of money on an expensive lens that may get damaged. Focus breathing is less than ideal for video.

I went for this instead of the Sony, honestly I was worried about the quality don't however after using this lens for one day was completely blow away. Go for it, it won't disappoint

I use this lens for almost every single photoshoot. I dont like using it inside though because you have to be very far away from your subject. But outside, it is wonderful!!
