The biggest downfall is the loud autofocus motor. If you are using the lense in a video situation where you want to use the audio, you will pick up the motor noise on both the internal camera mic, and external shotgun mics.

The lens is sharp but it will often hunt for focus while using the autofocus. Also the focusing motors are LOUD. I ultimately returned this lens because it was hunting for focus and the motors were so darn loud

Thanks for this feedback. There could be reasons why the lens is hunting for focus. Your subject may be getting beyond the lens' minimum focusing distance. It could also be that there is not enough light when you were shooting. We'd like to hear more about this and also know what camera you were using.
