Paired with an A7M3 does not weigh you down and allows you to pickup the lens and shoot. My initial test was with stock camera settings in AV (aperture priority) mode min of f/ 3.5- f/5.6 in a partly cloudy day. Very happy with contrast and saturation for a two hundred dollar lens on both ends. F/1.8 to f/3.2 does see a notable amount of vignetting. There are 7 blades, 5 Lens groups / 6 elements, and a 47 degree angle of view. Experiment with the camera and lens combo and see what works for you. Definitely recommend this lens if you are looking for your own nifty-50 or love your shorty-40 for your Sony Mirror-less- the value is good and is a great focal length for new adopters of prime lenses.

Bought this lens at an excellent price. The quality of the photos are outstanding and having an F Stop of 1.8 really gives that focus I need with the pictures I take.

Fast lens for the price. Only thing that I don't like. Is the auto focus is a little slow. But other than that. If you're looking for a portrait lens on the budget. This is the way to go.

It’s simple but does the job if you done want to carry around your expensive lens. It does not zoom. It’s just a kit lens but great

Needed an fixed frame everyday glass to capture in low light. I am not disappointed, this takes amazing night shots, even for someone new to photography!

This lens paired with my Sony A7 3 is the best $600.00 I spent all year. If you have a Sony full frame camera and shoot weddings get this lens!!!!

I bought this lens and took it on a hunting trip to Canada. It was great for manual focus, but the auto focus searched a lot. I used it for long exposures and it did great!

The autofocus is extremely slow and rather noisy, but I shouldn't really have expected it to be top notch on those issues for the price. That being said, it still serves its purpose and produces decent images.

I am basing my review based on the fact that Sony does not have a wide variety of lens of this focal length. The only con I have is that this lens is loud. The price, size, and weight outweighs the cons.

This would be the nifty fifty of sony. It feels a bit cheap but you can't really ask for much on this price range. You can't switch from auto to manual focus on the lens.

10/10 most full frame lenses are outrageously priced but this one is amazing. Stunning images for portrait photography this is my go to!

At this price it the best lens in the market. The only fault is it sometimes takes time to autofocus. But again you are not paying a fortune to buy it.

Amazing lens! Only issue is the sound when recording video and on continuous auto focus it makes a little noise that can be heard in the video.

After purchasing this lens for low light conditions, It has out preformed my expectations. I would recommend this lens to my friends and family.

I like the sharp images that this lens captured...however, I find that it some times is a bit slow to focus. But at the price point offered, I guess this is a trade off...,

This lens allows me to take pictures in low light. It also allows the bokeh effect to be used when you open the iris up.

If you want a lens for better portraits and better focal points, this is the way to go.

So this was my first prime lease and it didn’t disappoint. I hardly have to do any of the work. This lenses does it all for me.

For one of the less expensive f1.8 lenses, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of images that it shoots. Great lens. Definitely recommend!
