Easy to focus and incredibly sharp

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When used in manuel mode, this is one of the easiest to focus lenses I've ever used! I nail the focus every time within seconds. It renders colors beautifully, has lots of contrast, and is incredibly sharp. It works really well in low light conditions. However, the bokah is not perfectly circular, and is a little harsh. If youre hoping for that dreamy nighttime portrait look, this may not be the lens for you. Otherwise, its an amazing all-around lens, and really can't be bested for the price. Take this over any kit zoom lens every time! Probably one of the best focal lengths for beginners too.

As the title states, this has become my daily driver. I paired it with my Sony a7C and it’s flawless. I got it mainly for stationary low light filming and photography (in the gym and while streaming), but I find myself bringing it for everything. I live in Hawaii so theres an abundance of opportunities to use a camera, and I use my camera more just because if this lense. Excellent

Ive been using this lens a lot the past few months and the quality of the pictures has been great. I was using a 28-70mm lens that came with my a7ll prior and u can see a huge difference in how “crisp” the photos came out. Keep in mind this is a fixed lens so u have to get used to getting it to focus on what u actually want showing in frame. Other than that great beginner fixed lens, great photos/videos, for the price I have no complaints.

I used this lens for family pictures and was pleased with the outcome. The pictures were sharp and colorful, even in the rooms with low light. The only thing someone may not like with lens you will need to move back and forth depending how far your subject is. Not a zoom lens so if you do not mind then go for it.

It's a good lens for what it's worth. It's almost always on sale and I promise you that it'll take beautiful photos. Pairs wonderfully with Sony's smaller full frame bodies. I would look at other options if you're on APS-C though, there's a lot of better offerings fore crop sensor!

Problem that I have with it is that I feel like the auto focus hunts more often than it should. I find myself having to put more time and effort into grabbing focus than I should.
