    This is not a high end lens, but it's not supposed to be. It's what most of us need in our bag, an inexpensive fast and reasonably sharp normal prime. You can pay big bucks for a Zeiss or GM lens, but most of us won't see much of a difference, other than in our bank accounts. Unless you're a professional, this is the 50mm lens for you.

    I’ve been able to take some great photos with this lens! However, it is slow to focus in certain conditions.

    I've been doing photography on the side for over 3 years now, and I must say that every camera user should have a versatile prime lens; this one is it. It takes beautiful, sharp photos. It also gives you great bokeh for those awesome shallow depth of field shots. I can recommend this lens to any Sony E-mount user!
