Huge improvement over stock lens

I was a little iffy about a prime lens, since you can not zoom in or out -- but the results from using this lens are amazing! This lens will allow you to take awesome portraits with blur backgrounds! I have replace my stock lenses with this lens. One thing to keep in mind is how far you will need to be from your subject when using the 50mm lens, it's quite far...you may want to go with the 35mm if you don't have room to stand back 10+ feet when trying to take a group photo.

Good lens but noisy

A good low price 50mm lens.

Nice standard lens
