    A decent lens for the price. However it’s not the sharpest lens in Sony’s lineup and hunts for focus in low light.

    This should be one of the first lenses you purchase & keep in your inventory. You'll go through lots of different lenses but you'll always want to keep this around. "Zoom" with your feet you can use this for street, portrait & even landscape. Not bad for macro (not great, either).

    The reviews on this lens from "professionals" are that it is a bit too noisy of a lens. They haven't heard my older low end lenses. While it is noisier than my high end lenses, it's not THAT bad. It takes beautiful pictures on a low budget. Is it as good as the same high end lens across all apertures? No. Is it still pretty good? Yes. Am I glad I bought it? Yes.

    Compared to the canon 50mm i think this one is better. I used to have a 6D mark ii, paired with the 50mm 1.8, i shot ALL my portraits on that lens and the quality was immaculate however, this one is better. Many said but the zeiss one, however for instagram photos, for prints for people, this does the job and more.

    This is a good lens it is not a G-lens or a GM-lens but you can get some good photo's out of it. I think it is worth the money
