The autofocus is faster than anything ive seen in a long time, and the motor is completely silent. Pictures are crystal clear and everything is well built and feels like solid metal. The lens also has a af/mf toggle, and a button that i have not explored in depth yet, but so far this has not disappointed.

SONY-FE 85mm 1.8

This was purchased to give me more flexibility than the standard kit Lens for portraits. Autofocus is quick and accurate and Auto Eye focus works very well. Plan to use this lens on a Full Frame Sony in the future perhaps a Sony A7 III.

Great lens for street portrait photography

The focus and bokeh for this lens is perfect for the shots I'm trying to capture. It's also feels very well made and is lightweight.

If you use the camera outside of a studio setting, this is all you need. Don't be tempted to go for the 1.4 unless you like carrying heavy things and have lots of money. So pretty much a gigachad.

Fast and excellent performing lens

One of the better Sony native lens that was made.

It is sharp and perfect lens for portraits in an affordable price. The G-master or Zeiss version is almost 1k more. You do get some electronic features on the upgraded one, but is it worth the money?
