Honestly not much difference from the ZEISS Batis 1.8/85mm. I mean if you have money to spend then go for it or get the G master when you have alot of money haha, but this is the best bang for your buck product.

I also like the is compact and you can take it everywhere.

Sharpest lens at this aperture I've used

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This lens is one of the 'Must haves' for the focal length for anyone that wants to take portraits. The quality is superb and the auto-focus is lighting fast. Family have on occasion used the lens for low light sport photography since the sharpness allows them to crop and get a cleaner image than a telephoto would offer at the same shutter speed when compensating with a higher ISO. It's a bit expensive if you pay the usual price but it goes on sale pretty frequently.

Beginner lens

Great Lens for Dedicated Portrait Work

I only put this lens on my a7iii for dedicated portraiture work. The look and build quality is great. The image quality is excellent.

Great for Distances

I purchased it to take photos from the stands of my boys playing hockey. It does an amazing job! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a great lens, but the limitation is you can't use it for any close photos. It is a very expensive lens for being used primarily for only 1 purpose. Wish it was a little more versatile.
