Good but not in low light situation

I took sunrise and sunset photos to compare with iPhone 13 pro. Although this lens is F1.8, my iPhone takes far better vivid shots with low light.

Really Sharp

I'm using the a6500 right now, but eventually I'll upgrade to a full frame camera, and it's nice that I will still be able to use this lens when I do. Overall, great investment. Well worth the money.

I will say that this lens remarkable and the pictures that you'll get from it are astounding! Get this lens! Sony is really making great camera products and this is no exception!

No Down Sides

I’ve used both and the only real discernible difference is build and features. Image quality on this lens is hard to beat at any price point. I absolutely love this lens for portraits.

I compared this side by side with the Sony 85GM. Hardly tell the difference. Unless you really put it close. GM is slightly sharper. But definitely a great lens for the price.

Why Did I Wait So Long To Get an 85mm?!

When I switched to Sony this is the first lens I bought to go with my new a7r ii and I couldn't be more pleased! I have gotten amazing images with this lens and I'm blown away at how versatile it is. This will stay in my kit from now on!

Bokeh King! Tack Sharp!

It also provides an extra button for focus lock ( or any other custom function ). Its a prime, so need to use your legs for framing, but you already know that!
