I wound up using it for general photography as well. Results have been magnificent. This lens has very low or zero distortion at the edges, color aberration is extremely low and unnoticeable, focusing is excellent, and works extremely well with all the camera features.

Produces good image in the right hands.

One of the best portrait lenses for Sony E mount

I have rented the Batis and G Master. If you have decent photography skill, this lens will step your portrait game way up. I love shooting it on the A7RII and my A6300. Great lens!!!

I ended up returning it , was using it with a Sony a7riii

Awesome portraits

It takes amazing photos allowing you to zoom in on a specific area so that, that part of the picture is what is clear and everything else is minimally blurred for effect. Awesome panoramics too.
