I was a little skeptical about these, but I am so glad I tried them! I've noticed a significant difference at the end of the workday. My eyes feel less tired and I feel more alert. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who works on a computer all day! They also came with a nice carrying case.

The glasses are overall good and hopefully are doing what they are supposed to do. They are lightweight enough and are comfortable to wear. Are they overpriced? Maybe. Can they be more stylish? Definitely. I am unsure if the size of the glasses matter in their efficacy to protect the eyes but if it does not then some of the frames can be a little smaller, specially for people with shorter heads/faces. I acknowledge that styling might be secondary when you are reading on screen while lying on your bed but many of the consumers may end up using the glasses during their workdays and unless they are working from home, style may matter a bit to them. The build quality is sturdy and flexible and the case looks stylish and is helpful to have around. The cloth provided is helpful as well and the whole package is very efficient.
So in summary: does what it is supposed to do; can be more stylish; the accessories are helpful; build quality is dependable; lightweight; looks weird in your selfies which means that it is doing its job.

A nice pair of Blue Light glasses

These Felix Gray Jemison glasses are blue light blocking glasses and are intended to reduce eye strain and brain fatigue for people who use computer screens for extended periods of time. They will also block blue light emanating from fluorescent lighting, as well as other sources.
I was concerned about getting these since I wear glasses for all up-close reading and computer work. Surprisingly, they sit quite nicely on top of my prescription glasses. From an aesthetic perspective, however, glasses on top of glasses aren’t the best look. Yet, I’m old enough to not care.
From a technology perspective, I am a heavy cellphone user. And, not a day goes by without me using my laptop and desktop. My eye fatigue at the end of the day is no joke.
These glasses are interesting. While subtle, I do believe my eye fatigue is now lessened by the end of the day. It’s still early in their use, but I have high hopes that they’ll be a good long-term solution for me.
As advertised, these are oversized frames. And since I have a narrow face, they aren’t my best look. So much so that my wife says I’m dorky looking when I wear them. -sigh-
These glasses come with a very nice-looking case, as well as a lens cleaning cloth.
Since I wear prescription glasses, I would like to see these in an attachable flip-up frame – akin to flip-up sunglasses. I checked their site, and it doesn’t appear that flip-ups are available.
These glasses are light, seem well made, and I believe are affordable considering what they do.
As such, I am giving them 5 stars.

Setup:
Remove from the case and cleaned lenses with included cloth.
Use: After several days of wearing these at work. I did not have one day where I left with a headache. This is what I feel is the purpose and I feel mission accomplished.
Pro:
Comfortable
Clear lenses
Nice case and cleaning cloth
Con:
Lenses are not very clear
Frames are not for bigger heads.
These are nice comfortable glasses. I like that they are clear and block the blue light in your monitors. Unfortunately my head was a little to large for them so they did not look good on me. Also I wish the lenses were a little clearer. It felt as if everything was a little fuzzy. The case and cleaning cloth was top notch. The build quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend them except I wish they made different sizes. After 8 hours of use I did not experience any tension headaches. This is the main purpose and I feel mission accomplished. Also these would look better if they had more colors. Finally if they magnified by .25 it would be nice just to make the text on the screen that much easier to read.

Well-Made, But Didn't work For Me

As someone with an office job spending many hours in front of a computer screen, I'm the prime audience for this type of product. Since returning part-time to the office -- meaning I wear my contacts more than my glasses -- I have found myself battling dry, blurry vision and headaches after a full day staring at the computer. While claims about blue light's effects on the body are still debated, I figured I should at least give some blue light blocking glasses a try to see if I noticed any positive effects.
These Felix Gray "Jemison" glasses are attractive and appear well-made, with a stiff plastic frame and sturdy-feeling hinges. As a glasses-wearer for many years I can usually tell cheap glasses from well-made glasses, and these definitely fall on the higher end of that spectrum. I appreciated the inclusion of a hard-sided case and cleaning cloth as well. If you're not a glasses-wearer, you'll quickly come to appreciate why these two accessories are so necessary.
As a male with a large-ish head, I can say these glasses fit reasonably well, if a tad snug. They are approximately the same dimensions as my prescription lenses, which is part of the reason I chose them. Most glasses are a tad snug when brand-new, and I'd rather have them stretch a bit naturally than be too lose from the get-go.
Felix Gray advertises these glasses as having no yellow tint, and they definitely stand up to that claim. They are nearly as clear as my prescription lenses, with only the expected green-ish hue of the antireflective coating. Having seen friends with very yellow blue light glasses I am glad to avoid that problem, especially as someone working with graphics during the day.
After donning these glasses I was surprised to notice an immediate darkening of everything viewed through these lenses: my computer screen was noticeably darker, as were items on the desk around me. Given the lenses contain blue light filtering material I suppose this makes sense, although it was unexpected. After 30 minutes of wear I found myself needing to turn up my monitor brightness and even increase the brightness of the overhead lights in my office.
My second surprise is a noticeable blurring of everything viewed through these glasses, as though everything is just slightly out of focus. With my contacts in I have nearly perfect vision, but with these glasses on I find myself having to squint or give my eyes time to refocus in order to see text clearly on my screen. Everything is just a bit fuzzy, like there's a film over my eyes. Cleaning the lenses has had no effect.
Having now used these glasses for two days worth of computer work, I unfortunately haven't noticed a positive difference in my eye strain or headaches. After the work day I find my eyes are just as tired as before, with the biggest factor being how much time I spend staring at my screen vs. how much time I spend looking at other things.
Overall, these glasses are well-constructed with no annoying yellow tint to the lenses, which I appreciate in a sea of inexpensive, yellow-y blue light glasses. The inclusion of a quality case and cleaning cloth is a nice bonus, especially at this price point. In my case, however, the blurry vision and lack of positive difference in eye strain are two major knocks against these Felix Gray lenses -- especially at this price point. I would recommend trying these out before you buy, and maybe sampling another brand's blue light blocking glasses for comparison. If you know these will work for you and want a quality product they're worth a look. I just wish they would have performed better for me.

The Felix Gray Jemison Blue light glasses are nice oversized pair of blue light glasses. I am typically on the computer for more than 8 hrs a day at work and noticed that I feel significant eye strain by the end of the day. I purchased some blue light blocking glasses from the drugstore and found they helped a little but I was not a fan of the blue tint in the lenses. The Felix Gray blue light glasses are different in that they embed their blue light filtering technology in the lens leaving you with a virtually clear lens. The lens on the glasses are scratch resistant and have an anti glare coating which is great however you still must treat them properly because they are scratch resistant not scratch proof! After 1 week of using the glasses at work I noticed that I had significantly less eye strain on my drive home and it reduced glare for me while driving. The glasses also have a UV coating on them if you wear them during the day and are exposed to the sun.
The one thing that may bother some people is that frames are square and oversized so if you are used to smaller light frames then it may take you some time to adjust.
Overall these blue light filtering glasses are superior to ones that are available online or at your local drugstore and they are worth the slight premium in price

Excellent blue light glasses with no yellow tint

I have used many blue light glasses over the years, and they have always tinted everything yellow. It is definitely something I got used to with each pair, but it makes it tough while video editing playing certain games, as the colors are just a tad off. These Felix Gray glasses, as far as I can see, have no color shift or yellow tint to them. They are perfectly clear. I have had zero issues gaming, working on spreadsheets, or editing videos with these glasses. The carrying case these glasses came with is very sturdy, and feels like a coated metal. The included microfiber cloth is also quality. Overall build quality of the glasses is good, and the styling is attractive. These frames are not overly large; however, so larger faces and heads might have a bit of fit issue around the temple area. These should fit most people though. It would be nice to see Felix Gray release additional styles or frame shapes, like more square models in the future. Still, these have been an excellent addition to my work flow and I have noticed a decrease in headaches and eyestrain while wearing them in front of my multiple screens.

These are great blue light filtering glasses. I've used these for a week now and have definitely noticed less eye strain throughout my work day. My eyes feel fresh throughout the day. I also think it seems easier to fall asleep. I definitely have electronics in my face all day during my full time job and through the evening until I'm in bed attempting to fall asleep. According to research blue light can suppress melatonin being released which could affect your sleep cycles so any leg up on better sleep, I'm all in!
One thing I definitely like with these is the fact that it doesn't look like I am wearing yellow lens glasses. They have clear lenses and no one can tell that I am wearing special glasses. They look pretty stylish and seem very well made. I don't feel like they are going to break if I drop them and the lens doesn't feel cheap My girlfriend also said I look hot in them so that's always a plus. They are very comfortable and sit behind my ears without feeling like they may fall off.
I definitely feel comfortable highly recommending these for eye strain for those who are in front of a computer all day.

As a graphic designer I spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen. These help keep the strain on my eyes down, but also doesnt distort colors like other glasses do. Since they lack the yellow tint that other glasses do, they have crisp, clear lenses.
They also look great on both men and women. I do have a pretty big head, so i had to adjust them a little before they would fit correctly, but i have that problem with almost all glesses.
I have noticed fewer headaches and eye strain when I use these glasses. They are also comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I often forget that I'm wearing them. I would highly recommend them for anyone who spends a lot of time in front of a screen either professionally or recreationally. As i get older I realize how important it is to take care of your eyes and wearing these is like wearing sunglasses outside. Every little thing helps and everyone should be encouraged to wear them while using screens. I even got a pair for my wife since she also works on the computer a lot.

Great Value and Durable

I'm a grad student, so most of my day is glued to my computer monitor, writing research papers and case studies. I have owned blue light glasses in the past, but none felt as durable as these glasses. I immediately felt the difference as my eyes did not feel as tired. I also like how they look on me, sophisticated yet sporty. I could use these in formal and casual settings.
The frame is nice and sturdy; it does not feel like it will break easily. The lens is not too yellow like other blue light glasses I've used, which is a bonus. It does not offer any time of magnification. No eye prescription is needed. I also like the case it comes with; feels very durable and closes tight light. It also comes with a cleaning cloth with the Felix Gray logo.
The glasses also fit great, not too tight where they will eventually start giving me a headache and not loose enough to fall off. The price is excellent as well. I am also an accountant, so even after grad school, I plan on purchasing an additional pair in the future.

I received these glasses as part of a program where I review items that are sent to me from Best Buy. I have a job that keeps be on my behind, staring at a computer monitor all day, every day so I was very excited to receive these and try them out. Upon receiving any package I always notice things like packaging, and quality/sturdiness of the packaging. These glasses came in a nice Felix Gray box that had a shipping label on it and was easy to open. (It frustrates me when packaging is difficult to open.) The quality of the case the glasses came in is also excellent and it didn't feel like the case was going to break or get crushed if too much weight was on top of it. In addition, the construction of the frames themselves is good. They're a bit stiff out of the box, but again, they don't feel like they're going to break any time soon, even with daily use. After wearing them for several days, I just didn't notice any difference with my eyes or eye strain, etc. I'm not saying that these glasses don't work, I'm simply saying I didn't notice any difference. They are stylish, and you can tell that everything from the case to the frames to the cloth they include to clean them is quality. Really wish I could give them more stars.

Glasses which relieve eye strain?
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Felix Gray clear "blue light" filtering glasses are supposed to relieve eye strain, and thus provide well being benefits, but in my case they had extremely little to no beneficial effect. I wore the glasses during mornings in my office where sunlight abounds, and no discernible effect. Evenings at home working on computers in 2 different rooms and under different lighting conditions, and no discernible impact. I wore the glasses for reading, watching TV, and computer work, alas -- no discernible effect. I could not discern any benefit from these blue light filtering eye glasses. I had high hopes, but wearing experience dashed them for me. The frames are well made, medium weight, and attractive. The lenses seem optically perfect with zero defects, distortions, or blemishes. I liked the case and the included microfibre cleaning cloth, but the bottomline was that I was unable to perceive any benefit -- no matter how hide I tried. In good faith, my total wearing time was probably between 24 and 30 hours, perhaps it takes weeks for the blue light filtering to induce an increase in well being or reduction in tired eyes?

No more goofy tint needed to protect your eyes!

Gone are the days of strange yellow or amber tint needed on lenses to protect your eyes from the blue light cast from your computer screen. I've used blue light blocking lenses and utilities for some time now, and this was a foray into more professional/nicer solutions for this issue for me. As someone who stares at a computer screen for a good portion of the day, I believe strongly in protecting myself from the blue light that needs to be tamed. These Felix Gray frames and lenses feel very high end and well made. The hinges are secure and have a decent amount of give to them without being floppy. The inclusion of a nice carrying case and cleaning cloth is appreciated in the package. Optically clear, yet blocking blue light is the game changer here. In the past my other blue light blocking lenses all have had tint to them that made it obvious you were wearing glasses specifically built for that task. I've also noted that Felix Gray also manufactures their glasses with prescription or reader lenses, which is the first I've seen of that from a manufacturer. Also as a lifelong glasses wearer, I encourage you to get your hands on a pair, or at least use their virtual "try it on" utility on their website before buying, as head shapes and glasses fit are unique to each individual.

These glasses are some of the more interesting I've ever had. All I have ever known of is Gunnar glasses But these are very different in that. The first thing I notice is they don't have an Amber tint or any tent whatsoever. I tested them on my computer screens at work. I have two of them that I have to work off of and deal with for 8 hours a day. And I didn't have eye fatigue for sure. Usually I'm a little drained at the end of a day like that, but on this day, not so much, using these glasses. After that I drove home with them and heavy high beams of light. Didn't seem to phase me, still impaired me a little bit but not phase me if that makes sense. I was able to stay up and play The Division 2 on PlayStation until 4:00 in the morning and somehow still didn't have eye fatigue. Obviously. The energy drinks I had throughout the day helped but it really was the glasses as well. I recommend these guys. They look like just regular glasses and seem to work to perfection. I'm definitely going to keep running with them a little more and see if I can continue to have the same results. Oh yeah, and the case and cloth they give you is pretty cool too.
