Customers are saying

Customers value the Powershred W-11C 11-Sheet Crosscut Shredder's ability to handle various materials, including thick paper and cards, and its ease of use and compact size. While many appreciate its affordability, some customers noted that the noise level could be improved. Concerns regarding overheating and occasional jamming were also raised, though these issues did not appear to be widespread. The weight of the shredder was also a point of discussion, with some finding it too light and others too heavy.

I returned the item for a couple reasons. It did not have a pull out bottom to empty. You had to take the top off each time, and would get paper everywhere. It did not have wheels. So had to be picked up to move. Did not even turn it on .

Shreds well. However, it's a pain to empty. Has no pull put bucket for emptying. You have to lift the heavy top and put on the floor to take the bucket. Kind of a dumb design.

was happy to get it on sale, brought home, started using. Followed instructions if not overloading it. Used for a couple of hours and then died. Not sure what happened. Had to exchange. Now looks like working fine.

Let me start by saying; I have owned Fellows shredders before, they lasted years and never gave any problems. This one? If your shredding a piece of paper now and then? It may hold out. If you shred paper or mail on a regular basis? I would suggest getting a different shredder. I purchased the extended warranty with this and the shredder crapped out right after that. Now considering I do not shred CC's or anything plastic. Nor, do I shred thick amounts of paper at a time, this "should" have lasted more the 2yrs. It did not even last that, but unfortunatly due to family health issues, I did not get back to check on the warranty date till it was over. If you do not mind tossing a shredder away a yr? Then it may hold out for you. But, if your looking for something that will last? I suggest you look for a different shredder.

no drawer for emptying shredded contents

Actually I returned this without even opening up the box, as when my sister saw the box she informed me that to empty the shredder I would have to remove the top and then replace it back. Since the top contains the machinery, that would be bothersome. So I instead looked for a shredder with a drawer that opens for emptying the shredded contents, which is much easier than moving the machinery/top.

We jammin' I wanna jam it with you We jammin' I hope you like jammin' too… This machine keeps jamming - there was a plastic ring inside the cutter area that came out. Not real happy right now. Worked great at first, but then appeared to tire out.

Shredder was much physically smaller than expected. I expected the cut to be smaller than it did. Cuts were too large and exposed way too much info. Also it would stop after only two sheets

The top handle is nice, however the top (head) portion of the unit has to fit " just so or it won't work. Previously had a much larger size unit which worked better for my needs. In the future this is what I will purchase.

I purchased the item to have in home should I get around to cleaning up the garage of old paperwork and bills. The unit sat in the box for few months. Finally the time came for me to use it and it stalls, jams with 4 sheets of paper. After 30 minutes . 25 minutes which were trying to get the thing to work, I finally gave up. My fault for not trying it sooner or I would have returned it right away. I bought another Fellowes prior to this one and returned it because of poor performance. This one was supposed to be an upgrade!

I was looking for a shredder and found the Fellow. I bought it because of the features and benefits plus the company's reputation. It is a GOOD thing I took out a Geek Squad protection plan. I problem is its design: Everything is contained tightly in the head/shredder. It clogs easily if you put more then six pages especially if the pages are stapled together. The protection plan allowed me another shredder and not the Fellows brand.

I bought this shredder to use at home. In a week’s time it stopPed working. I saw that there are plastic pieces under the teeth that shred and one was bent around a tooth and the motor wouldn’t work. I returned it and bought the next step up. It works better and is quieter.
