Keep in mind this is not an in store item. You have to purchase this online.I bought this when BB had it on sale.Retail is $99.99 on this shredder. I was watching their prices & bought it at $72.99. A very good price on the Fellowes W11.The Fellowes shredders come with a very good reputation for durability.it is a little loud when you are using it,but it has a big motor and shreds more paper at one time, then most units at this price point. The top comes off very easy for ease of emptying the paper. The top is a little heavy because of the over sized motor. All in all this unit should last me for a long time. Fellowes shredders gives you a very good dollar value for the money and have a great reputation. I have had mine now for 2 months and it is worked great.I marked reliability 4 stars because I have had it only 2 months. Also you can back the paper off easily if you over feed the unit,to keep from jamming it Watch the price on this is seems to fluctuate.I also got free shipping on this which was also a plus. I had it shipped directly to my house by UPS.Which was a bonus.I happened to live close to one of their warehouse and got it 2 business days after paying for it.Can't beat that.I try to give BB first crack at my purchases. They will match on line prices if at all possible and I appreciate that.I would rather buy from a store than some on line seller who you will never be able to contact for problems.Best Buy always works to make me happy when buying and that is all worth alot to me.I buy mostly from the Hurst Tx store. I like the people who work there.Great Staff.I hope this helps you

When I purchased this online it appeared to be much larger, so when I did the store pick up, I was surprised to see how small it was. None the less, I took it home and put it work and boy did it work. Ive shredded so much paper in such a short time. All I can say, this shredder is amazing. PAPER shreds really small criss-cross. It is a little loud when it is mulching up the paper but the motor stops immediately after.it shreds the last page. Does not restart until u place the next paper. It stops once the bin fulls as it need to be emptied and bin fulls fast because it shreds really fast. It has never stopped from being over heated because i tried to time how long i used it so i wont have to wait for it to cool down. So once the top felt hot, I unplugged it and waited, quickest way to cool down. Overall, I love my shredder. It does what I purchased it for and much more. For anyone looking for a security shredder and a work machine, this is the one. Happy shredding....

This is my 2nd time to buy a 'shredder'. First one lasted 5-6 years. Now I found this Fellows and it is great. Features great, smaller by inches but holds a lot of shred. Locks, use vegetable oil on shredder after each use. Saves gears. Got handle to pick up head to dump. Great. Before I had to life it up and it was heavy. I like buying from BestBuy, they have great products with good prices and FAST DELIVERIY. I also have a Best Buy card. Easy to get in store, so I use it when I need to buy and saves on my other cards. I buy, pay it off so its always ready for me to use and free of debt. Can't go wrong. I even got Geek Squad protection contract, 4 years now on computer. Greatest ever. FELLOWS POWERSHRED - shreds quick-continuous run but I don't go over 4-5 minutes. I don't leave it running and not using and ALWAYS UNPLUG WHEN NOT IN USE. SAFETY LOCK KEEPS U N. Fellowes Power shred W11C 11Sheet Crosscut Shredder Black Silver Model: 3103201 - SKU: 1409605

      So Far, So Good!!

I haven't owned this shredder for long, but I just went through all my files and had a stack of papers to shred. It did a great job in very little time. The shredders I've owned in the past turn on and stay on even after all the paper has gone through. They have to be turned off. This one shuts off when the paper is completely shredded. To me that makes sense. The motor isn't constantly running while the shredder is on but not shredding paper. Less stress on the motor. I also put several credit-type cards through it, and they went through as easily as paper. I didn't experience this with any of my other shredders. So far, I'm very happy I bought this brand and model.

My Fellowes DS-3 quit working. I didn't want to pay much for a replacement and wanted to pick it up immediately. Compared prices at several local outlets on the W-11C and decided on BB because of their convenience, price matching policy and the $15 in rewards I had available. As other reviewers, I find the W-11C is noisier than the DS-3. Not an issue for home use in the basement office. There's no capacitive proximity safety on the W-11C llike the DS, but it has a separate lock switch from the power switch if you.re concerned about little-little kids. The DS also has an "overheat" light which I never saw light up. I was conscientious about oiling the blades and was a little disappointed in how long the DS lasted, so I'm running smaller batches on the W-11 during my annual records purge,

Its reasonably priced. We have only had it for a month or so, and I cannot comment yet on its durability, but so far so good. The one we replaced was Royal, and it lasted for approx. 5 years before it stopped working. I take a lot of the responsibility for this, it was really overworked. These shredders aren't designed for long sessions of shredding at one time. In other words allowing to much to be shredded build up Its much easier on the machine, and time saving to do the little bit daily. Its a good idea to use an oil sheet once a month to keep it working smoothly. We chose Fellows because we heard so many good things about their products. For the typical household this is a perfect size shredder.

I was looking for a shredder to replace one I've had for a few years. As time has gone by, the shear volume of junk mail - much of which has some level of personal information and should be destroyed and not tossed - has skyrocketed to the point where the one I had just wasn't up to the task and also lacked crosscut capability. I did my normal exercise of research and reviews which lead me to this shredder from Fellowes. So far it's handled what I've thrown at it, including making quick work of a few old credit cards (it's very satisfying to see those sliced and diced). It's not a commercial shredder - I've read a few reviews where some folks complained about not being able to shove two decades of old tax returns and bank statements in one go. But for it's intended use of home or even small office, it's a pretty good machine.

This shredder works well enough for the average home shredder. However, I am moving, so am cleaning out my old files. I have to shred for 5 minutes, then rest for 15 minutes to let it cool down. The basket doesn't hold all that much and I have to empty it frequently (like every 2 minutes). Also, the handle broke within a week. The peg snapped off. Yes, I am using it a lot, but the shredder is simply too heavy for the plastic pegs. Also, it MUST be oiled frequently so order the oil at the time of purchase. It does jam frequently, but that is probably due more to my clearing out 10 years of old records than the design of the machine. It does take a wad of papers, albeit a bit slower than one or two sheets, but that is to be expected.
