I've always been a fan of Final Fantasy games. This one doesn't disappoint to some extent. The gameplay is great and the different style of play is refreshing. The major down side of this game was the motion blur that couldn't be turned off or reduced, but this has been fixed in the previous patch. If the motion blur turned you off in the beginning try the game again since they have reduced it. Great gameplay but just an OKAY story.

When we first got this game I was more excited about the Demo for FFXV since we have seen trailers and how wonderful it looks. But, instead I ended up trying out the actual game first to see what it was like. The plot is great so far and the cut scenes are rather lovely. I was surprised at how much violence was in it, but have seen worse so it intensifies the emotions as well as the plot. Another, the thing I love about the game is that there are lots of characters to choose from to fit everybody's taste in what they enjoy in a character. Whether it's a support, close-combat, long distance, etc. Normally, we like RPG games and have always like the FF franchise. However, the only reason this gets 4 stars is the camera control. I play with vertical inversion while fiancé plays normal. But, at first it was a bit tricky for me since there's no option for camera sensitivity. The screen blurs when you use the horizontal and vertical camera look at the same time or horizontal alone. It hurts our eyes for some reason. However, the in depth plot keeps you on trail and wanting more. So still would recommend to those especially with the Gamers Club Unlocked Membership. Other than that, we do like this game a lot and have been putting 2+ hours on it ever since we got it a few days ago. we pre-ordered it so it came with the FFXV demo which we do LOVE a lot. Can't wait for it to come out.

if you want to waste some time playing a final fantasy game get this game. is it the best final fantasy i've played? absolutely not, is it in the top 5? nope, however it is a very well made game, decent story, graphics are wonderful and countless hours to play with. the best way for me to describe this game is it being a JRPG with a harry potter theme lol.

The game itself was really good. I didn't play the original PSP version so it's my first time play it. Before purchasing it, I did read a lot of reviews, most of the negative points were that the story lacks as the game progresses, which it does indeed. Some characters a very cliche and somewhat one dimensional. But overall it was a great game. The only downside I had was seeing how before this game even came out, there were a lot of trailers boasting its HD remake and praise of being 1080. But actually playing it, some of the scenery and graphics were as if they just upscaled it. But it does look indeed better than the PSP version. And the movie cut scene were great. I have to say, it's a really short game. If you only focus on the story and take a few hours leveling, you can complete the entire game with about 24 hours clocked in, maybe even less. I was able to finish the game, complete almost all Expert Trials, find over half of the collectibles, and Platinum out (100% trophies) in less than 35 hours clocked in. Took 5 consecutive day with about 5-7 hours of free time to finish. Even though the story is extremely short for a FF game, it's still fun and has replay value.

A well-done port of a Final Fantasy only Japan had

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a current-gen port of the PSP game that came out in Japan in 2011. Despite raving reviews in Japan, the game never made it overseas, until now. Combining a good cast of characters with a fun action rpg combat system and a story that makes you want to play through the game multiple times, Type-0 may be the Final Fantasy game a newcomer to the series may want to play. The Day One edition also comes with the Episode Duscae demo of Final Fantasy XV which is definitely a good sign of things to come in the Final Fantasy franchise.

The game itself is quite good...but don't expect it to be the same as the previous FF games. I enjoyed the battle system a lot, it is fast but you need to be precise. It's easy to be overwhelmed with all the 14 characters, but everyone of them is different in their own ways. Overall, it's a pretty good game.

This FF does not play like your traditional FF game. It plays much more like Crisis Core on the PSP. It is very story driven and is really the strength of the game. Game play is very action/RPG with many characters to choose and play. Magic system and plenty of weapons and armor to use. Solid game.

    - Real time combat is well made, feels good, and is very fun. I found it very satisfying. - Dialogue is laden with unnecessarily confusing terminology, but most of the recent Final Fantasy games have been. It uses the Fabula Nova Crystallis setting, so expect to hear the words l'Cie and fal'Cie more than is comfortable, despite being a different world from the 13 series. - On the flip side, the world and themes allow for some interesting explorations of the human cost of war. - The HD work is okay, but there are times where its obvious that certain character models and textures weren't up-rezed properly. - The style of some cutscenes (2D image montages with voice over) sometimes makes it obvious this was originally a PSP game. - Overall length is around 20 to 30 hours. If you enjoyed the most recent Final Fantasy games, you'll likely enjoy this. Even if not, the satisfying real time combat is easily the best part of the game, so it may be worth giving a try if you're on the fence.

Since I don't own a PS Vita, this port allowed me to play a good addition to the Final Fantasy series. The graphics are much improved from the original and the story is pretty good. Overall a pretty good choice for those who want try a Final Fantasy game on a next gen system.

This is a PS Vita port of a Final Fantasy game that's out of the usual canon. It's mostly action and fast paced and definitely takes some getting used to, control wise. The story is interesting yet confusing at times. I like the more mature take on the game though.

The gameplay is outstanding, however it is hampered by the camera. The backgrounds blur when you adjust the camera, making it impossible to make anything out, but it does not completely ruin the experience.

Type-0 HD has everything a FF fan could ask for: A superb battle system, lots of characters, hours upon hours of interesting quests and a great story. It is quite strange, but the best Final Fantasy game of the recent years is a port from a PSP game.

This was worth it just for the FFXV demo, but Type-0 is good. The game play is really good, as is the story, but you can tell they didn't remake it completely. the used better assets, but the animations are made for a much weaker console.

I like the game and love the series, but before I bought the game I didn't realize it was originally on the PSP and was remastered. So if ur looking for good graphics and and more story line wait for the FFXV. Other than that good gane.

A lot of storylines coming from the East seem to center around academies, especially military ones which I kind of like, but it seems strange for an FF game. I thoroughly got a kick out of a lot of past game pieces being placed in this game: crystals, l'cie, and eidolons. Although simplistic, the military engagements are a nice addition. The game limits your ability to fully interact with the characters in the game by giving set number of hours before the next chapter ends. This hour system basically acts as "action points" since certain character interactions use up 2 hours. Movement can be a problem when rotating quickly in the 3d environment. I am aware that some people can get nauseous. The story is solid, but the flow is more staggered than seamless as many modern RPGs try to be.

This game is a pretty nice break from the usual games in the FF series. My only gripe is the camera. When you look around, there's motion blur which is pretty irritating. Other than that, I found the game to be pretty fun.

This game is pretty action packed for a Final Fantasy game. The graphics are pretty good as well for it being a port. The music is great also. Mainly bought for the FF15 demo but I am enjoying this game as well.

Great final fantasy game, reminds me of old school. Camera could use some work, and the characters could be fleshed out better, but if you're a fan of final fantasy, you could do worse than pick up this game.

This time FF is a very active battle system where dodging and team composition is important as well as understanding the characters' and their potential fully. The combat can get hectic, but it is quite fun. The only con of the game is the real time strategy at certain parts where you send troops to cities to conquer, its lackluster and basic, but its short thankfully. I'd recommend watching game play videos on you tube or such to get the basic feel of it.
