This game is quite a bit different than other Final Fantasy games. I don't like it as a part of the Final Fantasy series but it isnt a bad game.

This is a really great buy for Final Fantasy lovers. It's like an entertaining mashup that reminds me of the world map of VII and it has some of the other fun qualities you expect from FF. The graphics are not up to FF standards, but it'll get you through until XV comes out.

I am a big fan of Final Fantasy. This game was different than I expected but it doesn't disappoint.

Graphics were similar to VITA but looked completely worst due to the fact that it went from a 7" screen to a 47" which you can see squares and clunky movements. I dont know what they were thinking, almost unplayable unless I was back on the PSone or PS2, then this would be a normal game but in 2015 and seeing this on the PS4, blah. Lucky the FFXV demo destroyed all hopelessness on this game. Cant wait for the new release..

I'm always excited to get the latest Final Fantasy game, but this one I hesitated on buying. The back of the box gives little information about the game and its playstyle. I quickly learned that "Type 0" means that it is a different type of FF game. Meaning the playstyle of this game is much different from any previous FF titles. There is no ATB gauge, no turn-based battles, and frankly nothing that feels like a FF game at all. Instead, what we have here is a real-time, third-person, action game that utilizes the lore and themes of other FF titles. The cinematics are beautiful, as you would expect, but the gameplay sections are most definitely lacking in graphics quality, especially for a PS4 title. While I expected more from this game (especially being a SquareEnix title), I wouldn't rule it out for gamers who prefer more action-oriented gameplay. My best suggestion: rent it first to see if the game suits you. The gameplay reveals itself pretty quickly, after some lengthy cinematics. I do recommend playing with the tutorial, as that will be helpful in determining whether this 'type' of game is for you.
