To be perfectly honest, I only bought this to have the demo for Final Fantasy XV. In itself, it's pretty good! Final Fantasy Type-0 is a different story and is good on its own as well! Being able to control multiple characters with a dab of how Kingdom Hearts plays, it's not bad at all! The story could've used a little more work, but it's still worth checking out if you want to try a new Final Fantasy game. Heck, it's the first M-rated Final Fantasy game too!

Game is an update of an old PSP game from Japan. Many of the graphics are touched up and look great but some they didn't touch up look bad for a PS4 release. Overall the gameplay is more action based like Kingdom Hearts. You have tons of characters that all play a bit different and will be suited for different situations.
From the story and gameplay I"ve seen It's a good game but not amazing. Worth a purchase if you are an FF fan. Worth a play if you aren't.

First thing, this is a port of an older game. That being said, it will not blow you away with its graphics and in fact it seems to have issues with graphic blur while turning the camera. Aside from that, it is a pretty solid game with active battles (dodging, running around, and switching control of characters). It has a pretty neat level up system where you improve skills and magic. Overall, it is a good game when it comes to the final fantasy series.

This is not a typical final fantasy game, but the combat is good, story is amazing (set in the universe of FF-13) and it has a demo code for FF-15 (which is amazing too).
if you enjoyed ff-13 this game is probably right for you.
side note, the story is on the dark/grim side but it is great.

Final fantasy is a childhood favorite. I never owned a psp so this was a must have in my collection. It helps that this game comes with the demo to my most wanted in the series ff15, well besides ff7r. The game reminds me of xmen first class but because this was a personal Christmas gift I have not gotten a chance to immerse myself with it. I support the developers that make games I want so I bought it. It had a great price as well.

Loved the mature storyline and focus on war. A host of interesting characters as well makes this a stand out final fantasy game.
In addition, throw in the much anticipated Final Fantasy XV demo and we have a great bundle here ladies and gents. Great combat, graphics, enemies and that Summon! We only have a tease of this but it looks to be a great one!

Good story and the combat is a lot of fun. The included demo of FFXV is another reason to get this.

As a Final Fantasy fan, I have to say I automatically love the game!
However, a few things do need to be mentioned here.
1st, I'm not too thrilled about not being able to complete the game 100% in the first play through. It's designed in such a way, that you have to play it again and again, in order to complete all the objectives.
2nd, the graphics are not as good as they could be. The cut scenes are nice, but the game graphics could have been better.
3rd, some of the bosses are near impossible to beat!
And lastly, it's really difficult working with 14 characters. I always liked leveling up all my characters in my game. With 14, that's a lot of work! But since you only control 1 of the 3 during a battle, and the others do their own thing... you pretty much have to decide which trio you want to use the most, and have a backup trio just in case...
But all in all.. it's Final Fantasy. What can I say, except that I really enjoy playing it!!

Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally released on the Sony PSP in Japan. This is the first English release for the game and Square-Enix decided to give it the HD treatment and put it on the PS4 instead of PSP's next of kin, the Vita. Evidence of this game's portable origin can be seen and this title doesn't have the massive scale of the numbered Final Fantasy titles, but it is still a fun game nevertheless.

This game is very reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts with its very active battle system. The battle system s definitely the highlight of this game. Characters are serviceable, but nothing stands out in the story department. Overall this was worth it to me because of the FFXV demo included, but Type 0 holds up as a fun game on its own.

Type 0 HD sadly didn't get quite the love it needed in making the port from PSP to PS4. The game is still solid and fun, but some of the systems, like the camera and world map, weren't given the attention they needed to make the transition. The camera moves too quickly with no options to adjust the speed and the world map comes off as incredibly barren. Still a fun entry into the series despite it's issues.

I bought this game just for the FFXV demo that was included. I thought that this actual game was average at best.

The game takes a while to get a custom to. And extremely difficult. But the story is great. And you really have to go out of your way to collect everything. Amazing rating M Final Fantasy. Haven't played one this well since VII.

well, I'm speaking on the basis that the Type 0 HD comes with that free FFXV demo and it really is fun.
that aside, the actual game is pretty fun but really needs some tutorials. I will suggest looking thru a walkthrough while you play. it can get somewhat confusing for first timers.

I hated the ff13 series with a passion. This game for me was a step in the right direction. This is pretty much an upscaled port of a psp game so don't expect the graphics to blow you away. It looks more like a PS3 game than a ps4 game but I'd rather take that instead of the nonsensical nonse of the lightning "saga." I say get it for 19.99 or less

The game itself is fun. Interesting story, dark tone and combat is very fun. RPG elements are done well. You can tell it's a PSP game but it still looks OK. Biggest gripe is the camera. Because it came from the PSP with only one thumbstick, it has an auto-centering camera. Most of the time it's OK but it can be wonky too. Overall a fun game.

You can tell it's a remaster of a Vita game, but it's still pretty good. Graphics are fairly impressive and the gameplay itself is solid, I really like the archer character right now. I mainly got it for the day 1 edition FFXV demo (which I haven't touched yet). If you want to see more follow me on Twitch (http://www.twitch.tv/boostergreg)

It is a neat game. Make sure you download the update or else the camera will make you head hurt!
It's a lot darker than other FF games but that is one thing that makes it stand out among the franchise.
