Excellent Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is executed well. Most of the characters are interesting, although a couple of the main characters are tedious. The battles are better than some of the previous final fantasies.

Great bridge to the whole
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this game so far and I love how it's a bridge between the previous 13 series and the upcoming XV release! If you're excited for XV this is a must play to get the full experience!!

Final Fantasy Innovated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This series of games has always been turn based JRPGs but this one has changed its old mechanics into a fun and fast paced rpg that has some camera issues but is still worth a purchase.

Final Fantasy Type 0 HD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't your typical Final Fantasy game. So understand that going into it. It also has an engaging if confusing story which may turn some people off. The "HD" graphics are "okay" but could have been better. However, it's fun to play, which is why I gave it four stars instead of three. Also the soundtrack is great. So depends on what you're looking for. Did you like the style of Crisis Core? You'll probably like this then as it's more action based. Personally I like it and I know most of my friends would like it, but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. It's a good game, not great, and if you're on the fence, wait for a price drop.

Great for final fantasy fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game has some cool combat ideas, but the story is very convoluted. Camera is shaky too. I would only recommend for big final fantasy fans.

not what I was expecting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Graphics: The game is an old PSP remaster, so of course the graphics are how shall we say "outdated" especially for a next-gen console game. Let's just say it looks like a PS2 game. Story: Mildly interesting for the majority of the game and then extremely confusing near the end. I feel as if all the games under the "Fabula Nova Crystallis" banner were designed to be confusing. The game also has similar lore from XIII that Type 0 doesn't explain well, so if someone were to jump in straight to Type 0 they would most likely be confused. After you beat the game you can view extra cutscenes that fill in some of the blanks which is nice but weird (why couldn't these be in the game proper?) and there's apparently alternate endings when you beat the game a second and third time. Voice Acting: Horrendous. Although some characters are a lot better than others. I find it funny that a few of the secondary characters have better voice acting than some of the main cast. (Also the pronunciation of "Kurasame" has a wide spectrum from perfect to hilariously butchered.) Gameplay: Compared to Final Fantasy XIII (the last Final Fantasy I played) I think this one is much better. It plays similar to Final Fantasy X where you get ambushed periodically while you run around and Final Fantasy XII where you control the party leader, the AI controls the others, and you can switch leaders at any time while in battle. My main gripe is how the game doesn't exactly tell you how to use important abilities. For example, I was halfway through chapter 4 before I figured out how to heal my party with Cure and I STILL don't know how to charge up the Vermillion Bird spell. (Anyone else figure this out please leave a comment.) Conclusion: For all its faults, and there are many, I still enjoyed playing this game oddly enough. I enjoyed it enough to go after the platinum and I enjoyed it enough to continue with a New Game+. I feel as if I should be giving it a 2 out of 5 because some part of me feels it does not deserve a 4, but I honestly liked playing it. In my opinion, you can compare this to XII. If you enjoyed XII you'll enjoy Type 0.

Great game for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy the visual effects and music. I would have enjoyed the game more if the players movement wasn't restricted to just walk/run. I like the different difficulty levels.

great but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great HD remake of a psp game. Combat is fun but can be difficult and tiresome. Visually, you can tell this is an upscaled psp game but it's still a good looking game.

This is how Remasters should be done.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Graphics are much better than they were on the PSP but still a bit subpar for PS4. Camera has been improved. Gameplay is great, and an extremely fun game overall.

More mature final fantasy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is pretty fun, plays very different than a turn based final fantasy with more violence and blood than previous entries. Voice acting is hit or miss.

Great port

Great game with good ported graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a chance to play this game for several hours now, and I love the real-time battle system that's more active than other Final Fantasy games. The battle action allows you to lock on to a target and begin battle without the need to zoom into the battle screen of Final Fantasy XIII, for example. I rated this 4 stars only because the ported graphics look good, but they aren't "next gen" quality. I'd say the graphics quality is between PS3 & PS4. Don't let that keep you from missing out on a great game that includes the Final Fantasy XV demo in the day one edition.

Different from other Final Fantasies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game was good, felt more like Kingdom Hearts than previous Final Fantasies. Good remaster of a PSP game, camera is a bit wonky but is easy to get use to.
