Not at all like any final fantasy game I have played before, it's all in real time, the story is sketchy from the start and doesn't make much sense. The real time combat is horrible. If you are looking for a final fantasy turn based game, run, run far away.

Final Fantasy Type-0 has substantially improved from its earlier version on the PSP, a huge difference! From the couple past Final Fantasy's I've played, Final Fantasy XIII & XIII-2, it certainly has a better resolution even if you agree with me or not, it has a totally different battle perspective view (that's not a "taking turn" bases), a bit hard to control but eventually you get the hang of it and many other changes that satisfied me!! You get a really exciting and clenching storyline that makes you want to keep playing in seeing what will happen next, as you interact in the gameplay, of course! So enough of my talking and you guys go try it out!! Motivated or really wanting to get the game? Go get it then!!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed nor bored with this game, especially if you are a fan of Final Fantasy!!

It is in the end a HD port from the PSP but it's one done right with fun gameplay and interesting storyline. I gladly pay the full price for its never ending story and fast action. Luckily I had gamers unlocked so I got that 20% off. :3

This is a port of a mobile game, and based on the responsiveness of the controls it certainly feels like it at many points. You should know that the game is made to be replayed over and over again with many sections of your first play-thru guarded by monsters Lv. 60-99. Many other missions and stories won't be available until later play-thrus, some only unlocking on your 3rd play-thru. The achievements are simple enough to get on a single play-thru, but after that it just seems later play-thrus for a couple extra missions on top of more grinding to be able to complete them is a bit much. At that point, it's less of a challenge and more of just a grind. Not a bad game, but definitely not optimized for a console experience. It's good if you're the kind of person who likes repetitive grinding for incremental yet paltry rewards.

It has been awhile since I played a FF game. This one brings back memories of a great story. In typical FF fashion though, it tends to be very linear. Of course you can do side missions, but you still get funneled down the path. In a world of open sandbox games, this is a throwback.

Love the game, reminds me of the old Final Fantasy games.

Game graphics and mechanics are amazing. That said, I was disappointed at the fact that in order to get and understand the story I had to go online and read from people that took the many hours needed to read all the in game lore that is sent to a book that is accessed at the library. This would be fine if there were small fact and story actually told in game, but no. Not only do you need to read a literal book, but must past game several times to unlock pages needed to explain what the game failed to in order to make game seem more movie and action packed. Being used to Final Fantasy game i was let down. also game is super short if you just do main story objectives. Grinding is not needed because new game play lets you kill anything if timed right.

Great remake from PSP to console. Glad square enix brought these to xbox one also

My hype for this game was not a letdown and it lets you play the demo of final fantasy 7.

I have been a fan of this title since it came to the US.
