Game is AWESOME! However, best buy not so much. They cancelled my preorder for the deluxe editon, and by the time that this happened, the deluxe was sold out not only here, but EVERYWHERE. Its really upsetting because on top of that, the customer suppory LIED about the deluxe being restocked Feb 29, the game’s release date. It was not restocked ever, and I lost my chance to get any preorder bonuses because of their lies, miscommunication, and lack of support. I did get a $30 best buy gift card as an apology from customer support, but that is nothing compared to all of the items I missed out on. I was really looking forward to the artbook and cd, but now that Im unable to order them- I’d have to pay a ridiculous resale price for them secondhand. I genuinely do NOT care about Best Buy’s “system issue” they should have compensated better, or have been better prepared. Do better Best buy.

"FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH" is the second entry in the re-imagining of the original 1997 Playstation classic "FINAL FANTASY VII" following 2020's "FINAL FANTASY VII: REMAKE" - it continues the story of Cloud and his Team after leaving the city of Midgar. 4 years on from REMAKE and keeping in step with the Story itself, the game is much more expansive, faster paced and story-driven. the Adventure outside of Midgar sees you Visiting many classic areas from the original in ways players of the Original Game could only imagine. This Preorder was my first in a long time, i got the Limited Edition and Steelbook from Best Buy. Pick-Up was super easy and was home and playing within 30 minutes!

Great game. All the nostalgia. I have the original version, but this is even more awesome. Live the steelbook and the art book with it!

Game is great, awesome continuation from Remake. Take it slow and don't grind it out ASAP cause that will ruin the experience!

Best buy decided to cancel my order last minute. Even though I preordered last October. This is the second time they have done this to me. Contacting online chat resulted in being straight up lied to. Keeping the chat record is useless. All you will get is an empty apology and a "there's nothing we can do, order it when it's back in stock". Their website and online chat support is complete garbage. If you must preorder from Best Buy, good luck.

Giving a one star so that people can see this review. Understand that the people venting out their anger and frustration in this page is justified if they have preordered the item and expected to get it on release. I had preordered my copy since September 21 and on the app it had said it is ready to be picked up. When i get there the associate had informed me that they had no inventory of this item and are still waiting for stock to come into the store. After that i call customer support to see what is happening and apparently theres a shortage of stock and they have no idea when they are getting more? That is unacceptable especially to the customers that have preordered this edition of the game. Once the company gives me the game and acknowledges this problem going on ill change my rating and even write a new review for the game but this experience terrible, best buy do better and never preordering anything from this company again. 

Nostalgia pump upgrade! This game brings back those long nights at home playing games.

Best Buy is finished, ever since they started clearing shelves of physical media, they have now been canceling orders without any kind of warning. I pre-ordered this game five months in advanced with Best Buy gift cards and they still canceled it. They told me there was some kind of glitch in the system and I will not be able to get my order. I will not be shopping here anymore. Thanks for nothing and terrible customer service when people are actually trying to buy things from you guys and give you money you turn them away or you overtake orders. what a complete joke, finished with this company.

I was lucky to pre-order only to have my pre-order be cancelled the day before release. Now I have to find it in the wild to avoid paying mark ups. Thanks BB.

I placed an order months ago and Best Buy canceled it in error. It was never available for re-order. I had to settle for the Standard Edition, which is just the game. I called and spoke on chat with Best Buy so many times with no resolution. I even woke up at midnight for the release to order the Deluxe Edition and sat refreshing my screen for an hour and it kept saying Coming Soon. I checked again at 4:30am and it said Sold Out. So disappointed! I was told it was bots set up for people who buy them all out and re-sell them at higher prices. So bummed.

I preordered back in September of 2023 for pickup. On the morning of release day February 29, 2024, the system suddenly changed my order to delivery without my acknowledgement and now it is stuck on "We'll let you know when it ships." with no delivery estimate. Customer service tells me its now stuck on backorder with no more stock. This is no longer available anywhere.

Who ever is marketing FF7 Rebirth is doing a horrible job at best buy. A steel case is now sold seperatly, but it is stated that it is a package deal.? They should be held accountable for False advertising

I had the deluxe version preordered but my credit card got canceled before release. I tried to change my payment method but the website wouldn't give me the option and customer service was just incompetent. Amazon for the win

I preordered this edition very very early, Sept 23. order pickup was not fulfilled on release. last week reached out to support and asked the rep whats going on. rep said that the vendor is providing more stock. clearly that was a lie cuz i just got the order cancellation email. not sure how others got their orders fulfilled and i was one of the early adopters but get the short end of the stick. never buying from best buy ever again.

I pre ordered the game in September they canceled my order one day before release then tried to blame me for why it was canceled. In reality Best Buy took more pre orders than they could fill and now blames the customer. Forget this company I will never buy another product from them again.

Ordered pre order months ago sometime between oct-nov this month they canceled my preorder out of nowhere and No ill have to buy 3rd party and not get the second free steelbook

I preordered the deluxe version in September 2023 and Best Buy tells me ON RELEASE DAY @ 6pm that the shipment has been delayed. People who ordered the standard version were able to pick up their game and steelbook at the store no problem but people who ordered the deluxe version were left hanging. So pretty much BB customers who preordered early and paid extra get to play late. Similar thing happened with FFXVI. Maybe it’s a store related issue but I’m not sure I can take this company seriously anymore.
