So far, its a fun game on its own, but don't expect a 1 to 1 remake when it comes to gameplay AND story. The combat is no longer turn based and they have definitely changed some story beats. Overall, its definitely worth a look! And for any final fantasy newbies, no you dont need to play previous entries to know what's happening in this particular game, as every game in this series has its own unique story with new characters that have nothing to do with any other entry in the franchise. So feel free to dive in without concern that you might be missing out from not playing the other games.

This is how remakes should be done however I'm not thrilled with the installments but for the amount of detail & content it does make sense. Hopefully it will be only 3 parts just like the 3 discs from the classic version. Graphics & visual effects are very well done with good performance on PS4 Pro. Performance of the game play is quite stable & is quite responsive to controls. Have at least played 20+ hours into this game & hope to triple it based on the game play that I have experienced. Absolutely recommend this game to even newcomers as well as fans of the classic Final Fantasy VII.

Albeit a remake, not a remaster, this game is great. Combat is fun, story is good while maintaining a lot of elements from the original game, and Jessie is bae.

Beautiful graphics bring you back to 1997 in a rethought storyline that keeps you at the edge of the seat. A 20 plus years wait for fans, absolutely worth it.

Looks amazing and has great gameplay. It sucks that they split the game into parts but it's still worth it because it's so much better than the original.

The game is gorgeous! Very well spaced out, making it an easy game to sit down and play. Combat is similar to FFVII Crisis Core, mixed with Kingdom Hearts 2

I loved the original FF7 and have played it multiple times. This game is that, and so much more. Once you get used to combat it is a blast.

FF7 Remake is one for the books! This game does a great job modernizing the 23 year game. Graphics, sound, characters, loading all have been overhauled for the modern day and age. The game is said to take 40 hours to complete or 45 hours with side quests. I am 4 hours in and am taking in the sounds, visuals and taking my time to search every book and cranny. Truly a game to slowly progress in and appreciate. Trust me dont rush through just to say you beat it! For general information the game is 2 discs. Disc 1 is the install disc and Disc 2 is the play disc.

This remake is amazing and plays like kingdom hearts. And is packed with great stories and expands on the universe already. Must play for everyone.
