A fantastic retelling of the fan favorite FFVII. Beautiful graphics and an updated battle system take you on a whole new journey through Midgar

I'm about 10 hours into this game and I can only say nothing but good thing's so far. All the characters are still unique to how they were in the original. The combat has changed up because FF games aren't really turned based anymore. They implemented there new combat system which honestly isn't a bad thing. My only complaints is that it could look a little better and run a little smoother. I'm using a ps4 pro on a 4k Qled. Maybe when the ps5 comes out they'll have an update to make the game run better and look better but we can only hope.

yup. It's been a long time coming, but in my opinion, well worth the wait. Those who've played the original back in the Golden days, this won't disappoint. Taking an original master piece and keeping the elements from what it has come to be known today as one of the best rpgs of all time, but giving it a major present day upgrade is a huge feat. Never would have thought that it would actually come to life. For those who've next played the original, you are in for a treat. Now, all I'm waiting for is a remake of MGS.........

Best game ever. Just for ff fans. This is the best graphics game of all and story makes a complete package. Cant wait for 2nd part.

I've played the original and this I prefer the old school style battle system and that's the only reason it's only 4 star. This game is great! I love the story and the new look on the classic, the only reason I have for a 4 star is that I didn't like the battle system at all, and hard mode can be just too much.

The good: - Best graphics in an RPG - Very entertaining battle system - The side quests are decent - Very cool summons, weapons, and skills The bad: - Weak storyline (Many events and dialogues are shallow, do not make sense, and half-baked) - Characters in general are not fully developed (Especially main characters)

This game is worth every penny!! it's great to revisit the characters in this classic game. The battle system is fairly intuitive as well.

This game is fantastic. I finished my first play through and just want more. Currently working on hard mode and still loving every bit. When I first saw gameplay trailers I was unsure about the battle style, but I’ve come to love the mix of real-time and the classic. It’s not a true turn-based like the original, but effectively pauses the battle to choose your ability, spell, etc. The story is not a shot-for-shot remake of the original, but I appreciate the new aspects and expansions. I can’t wait for the next part to come out!

A fitting beginning to the remaking of Final Fantasy VII - incredible graphics and engaging combat guide you through the beginning of Cloud's journey. Although there are some performance issues, such as load times, low-quality textures and graphical pop in, they don't detract from an otherwise excellent experience.

This has been the best game I've played in over a decade, and my favorite on the PS4. I've always loved JRPGs, and have been playing them since the 90s (yes, I am old... LOL). A few minor gripes with some pacing, difficulty spikes, and a bit less freedom to roam can't take away from such excellently realized and fully fleshed out characters. My only wish is that Square would put the effort and energy they did into this game into all their releases. Here's to hoping the next volume of this game does not take another 5 years!

Great game that expands on the Midgar portion of Final Fantasy 7. The graphics are amazing and the new battle system is a nice touch.

The value of this game will be determined by its sequels. As a first part it is very promising, but there is serious potential that a sequel would screw it up badly. I love the new plot twists, but it conveniently ends when the original game opens up and amazes you with all the freedom. If they manage to keep it that way while making a seamless transition between parts, then it will be the Definitive Final Fantasy. If not - then it will break my heart and leave me crying like a little girl.

Graphics are amazing and have brought this game back. Game play is easy to master and the story drags you in. Highly recommend game.

The game follows the general evolution of Final Fantasy games up to this point. You definitely hear echos of the original, but the game has little resemblance to what you played back in the late 90s in terms of mechanics. The magic and limit breaks are still there, but retooled and modernized. Graphics and sound are amazing, but it can get a little bit disorienting when there are a ton of things going on at once and you are trying to switch between party members to issue direct orders. Overall, I had a lot of fun.

If you're looking for a straight remake of the game, you're probably going to be disappointed. However, the game is by its own merits a fantastic experience and should pleas any fan of the original who doesn't mind something new. The deluxe edition packaging is great! The included artbook is neat, and the soundtrack disc is a nice addition. The re-made soundtrack is pretty great aside from the terrible EDM version of the sector 5-6 road song. Overall loved the game, 100% it. Would definitely recommend.

An inventive Final Fanatasy 7 Remake. Graphics are overall amazing. The new battle system is loads of fun to play. Would recommend!

I am enjoying playing this game. The story line is amazing and the Graphics are great. I have not had any problems with this game.

Amazing box for lovers of the FFVII series. If you are one of them, this box has a lot of great stuff. The game is very long, around 40 hours with amazing graphics and engaging story. Some parts are complete fillers, to be honest. If you haven’t played the original version, I don’t recommend it as much.

I pre-ordered this game initially at the PS online store. But due to the release date being moved to Apr 10th my order got cancelled. But I am happy that it did because I got the chance to pre-order the physical copy of the game and all I can say that it is all worth it. I finished the game already but being a Final Fantasy game it is rich with post game tasks. And I really appreciate the attempt of SE to give the world of FF7 a whole new perspective not only by the updated graphics but its storyline per se.
