This remake was done with the utmost beauty. I am really big on how artwork is done and how animations are finalized and this game is stunning. It's clear and crisp and really brings this game more to life. The plot is deep and enjoyable until the very end and loved how it stuck close to the original. I think this game is definitely one that a RPG lover has to try! The deluxe edition itself has a very nice box and the inside content is minimal but yay for those redeemable codes!

Graphics are awesome. Bought this game because of the nostalgia, but was in for a surprise. Much of the story is updated and gives you a deeper inside look into the Midgar portion of the game. Very different game mechanics from the original. Overall, the game didn't disappoint.

Remake of a classic. Soundtrack and combat is amazing. Definitely recommend, especially if you are a old fan like me.

I'm playing FF7 Remake as a huge fan of the original. It was my favorite game as a kid. The remake balances everything perfectly - still being true enough to the original that you experience constant nostalgia, but also modernizing a lot of the mechanics to make it feel new and fresh. The gameplay loop is very addicting, storyline is great, and graphics hit it out of the park. Highly recommend this to any fans of the original game, and also to newcomers who love RPGs.

If your a fan of the original or a fan of Final Fantasies you won't be disappointed. They knocked this one out of the park. The only thing that sucks is that I haven't got my DLC summons from pre-ordering it and getting the deluxe edition. Missing my chocobo chick and Carbuncle DLC supposedly cause of a delay in receiving the codes cause of the virus but that's something that could be emailed to a store you would think. Other than that I am very happy with my purchase

The game had amazing graphics, and is great for beginners, the combat is smooth and engaging and well as the menu

Having tried repeatedly to play the original PS game and never being able to get past the opening due to random encounters, this was a refreshing way to finally get to see what all the fuss was about. The combat is fun and engaging, the story is weird but still engaging.

Waited forever for this game and was not disappointed. Story, graphics, game play, and packaging. All A+...

This remake of the classic Final Fantasy 7 does not disappoint. The graphics and gameplay are awesome. The Deluxe Edition is great for the fans who couldn’t get a hold of the collectors edition of the game. The art book is great to look at and the soundtrack is so good.

I'm loving this remake! Everything is fleshed out and deeper than I expected. It looks great (the leads are stellar, secondary characters and deep BG assets are quite flat though), and it really hits that nostalgia bone for fans of the original. I'm especially surprised at how long it is; I'm 20 hours in and still just at chapter 10 of 18. The art book and steel-case are pretty and look good on the shelf. Definitely worth the buy for new fans and old...

This is just a review for the deluxe edition itself; the game is great. This deluxe edition comes in a nice box that feels really nice. The final fantasy graphic on the front is shiny and sticks outs. Inside, you get the game in its normal case, a cool-looking steelbook, complete with artwork on the outside and inside, you get a hardcover art book that is definitely cool, and you get the game’s soundtrack on CD. I’d say it’s worth the extra $20.

What can I say? It's FFVII with better graphics, a more modern social take on the dialogue, and the characters that were relatively unimportant are given a more prominent role. Great for fans of the FFVII series or newbies that want a good story and pretty graphics.
