This absolutely hit the spot for an original FF7 fan, I haven't finished yet and know there is some controversy there. The game play is awesome, graphics are great and they stick to the comical/lighthearted feel of the original game. My only issue is that i didnt realize how little of the original story line this was, I was expecting 2 parts and not 3.

I played the original 23 years ago and playing this remake fleshes out details that were greatly unable to be expressed in the original. The overall cinematic experience along with transitions between gameplay and dialogue is almost like playing and controlling a movie. Would definitely recommend for anyone that missed out on playing the original.

Graphics and remakes story is are amazing!! Highly recommend!!!

A steelbook featuring artwork of Cloud on the inside and Sephiroth on the out, a mini artbook and CD soundtrack as well as 2 game discs (1 to download from, the other to play). Minor nitpick, overall graphics can be great but NPCs are minimally detailed and textures don't load in properly. Hopefully, a future patch can smooth this out for both.

I never much played the original version but was very much looking forward to this remake. The graphics are sharp and the real time battle system is a vast improvement over the turn based system of the original release in my mind. If Square Enix keeps the quality high for future chapters then I can't imagine being disappointed in the rest.

Enjoyed replaying ff7 with updated graphics. brung back memories. this game is great for those fans of the series and the original. it's also great for those who just started with the series. The game has some of the original features with some new. Easy to play and enjoyable. many side missions mini games and multiple story modes.

The game starts out really fun. Combat is great and the ability to combo with your allies makes for great builds. As you get towards the middle/end the story starts to feel rushed and before you know it you’re at an abrupt ending and left scratching your head wondering what happen. It’s quite clear the cut quite a bit of content in order to release the game on schedule. Disappointing as it had a lot of potential. Still enjoyed the game but did not live up to what most people have come to expect from the series.

Played the original more than a few times. Even though this isn't an exact replica. It definitely bring something fresh to change it up and add more to the story. Aside from that. The steelcase of Sephiroth is super nice! The additional stuff of the deluxe is a nice add on. Loved the cd. ADefinitely a must buy if you're on the fence!

Just about perfect. I love the revamped combat and music.

It's a pretty standard Deluxe edition, comes with a mini artbook with some nice art, a cd with a portion of the soundtrack, and a nice steelbook case, as well as the standard case for the game, which is nice because it features the nostalgic imagery of Cloud facing the Shinra building. Everything is nice and it came in good condition.

Great game - more of a re-imagining than a remake - but still lots of fun. Different enough story to be interesting and not know what's coming if you've played the original, game mechanics are a great blend of real time action with a change to plan out strategy as well. Steelbook case that came with the deluxe edition is nice too.

Most games nowadays feel like quick cash grabs. Even though this is a remake, it still feels as if it was made by a passionate team. I would go so far as to say it has soul. I personally don’t finish most games I buy because of time constraints. When I finished this one, I immediately started it over for a second play through.

This game is amazing. I was so hooked to it that I played it for a whole week straight but then needed a break cause I’m was over doing it haha. Gameplay is great, storyline is well detailed, and the characters battle formations and graphics are amazing. I recommend this game, I can’t wait for the 2nd game to get into production.

Game is fun and amazing to play in 4K. Many great easter eggs and references from the original game in the remake. Character interactions are hilarious to listen to as you play. Many new side quests to always keep you interested and busy as you progress through the current story. If you love the classic, it is so worth the buy.

This experience for the remake is far better than what I expected as I came into it with an open mindset knowing they were adding more content to the story overall. Even though we do have to wait for the other two installments, I've so far enjoyed this remake with all the added content, and can't wait for the journey to continue.

Ff7 was one of my very first PlayStation games as well as my first RPG, so it holds a special place in my gaming life. What they were able to do going back to Midgar is nothing short of spectacular. I can’t play more than a couple hours at a time I get so overwhelmed with how well they did with this remake. Well worth the wait!
