Having played and loved the original FF7, like so many others, I tried to keep my expectations in check for the remake. I was not disappointed. To experience this wonderful world in 2020 with all of its graphical bells and whistles felt like a whole new experience. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of the original game.

Fun and challenging without it becoming frustrating.

The game came a bit late due to the coronavirus attacking the planet, but I don't blame best buy for that. When the game came, it was in perfect condition with not a single scratch on it. The game itself I've already sunk hours in and I'm very happy to have bought this. Will be ordering more from best buy in the days to come

Story, gameplay mechanics and graphics are AMAZING!!

I am astonished by how much work was done on this. This does not play as an RPG, but more like a hack and slash of Monster Hunter. You can change it so the computer controls your characters, and you command the magic, items, and special attacks. I'm enjoying it, and if you were a FFVII fan of the past, you'll enjoy this.

For fans of the original this will be very fun and even emotional at times. The graphics are great and the gameplay excellent. Hard mode is a fun challenge. The ending makes you want more obviously but it’s a great start to what I hope is a great series. Hopefully the rest will be a little less linear and more open world.

Awesome remake. Love how you can switch the battle system from the new style to the old. Visuals are great and the music is awesome. Can’t wait for the next part.

I played this many years ago on the PSX and if you did too, you owe it to yourself to play this, reimagined for modern times. Lots of love was placed into it and so many small things I didn’t even realize I remembered are there waiting to surprise you. It’s an amazing and nostalgic experience worth the time.

Really good story, great characters, fun battle system and I can't wait to play the next installment. Would recommend also playing the original version before this one.

It's Final Fantasy 7 for a new generation. The game itself is solid and enjoyable. As far as a deluxe edition is concerned, this game has it where it counts. A nice steelbook, artbook, mini soundtrack, and great DLC included. Well worth the extra money. Pick this up if you need a refresher on Final Fantasy 7.

I hate how much time I've put into AC:NH because it makes me feel guilty for the time I havent put into FF7. ON Chapter 9 as of this writing and it is absolutely gorgeous. Like it looks, sounds, and feels like its drenched in AAA money. And its extremely enjoyable for a first timer like me. So awesome

The gameplay, score, and visuals of this game are spectacular no doubt. But as someone who really values the story of a game, I am indifferent to this story. I have played and know the story of the compilation, so I was really excited for this. Without spoilers, the story takes a turn at one point and I wasn't really happy with it. But if you overlook the story, this is a game that makes you want to come back for more. I definitely recommend playing the original before (because you will be confused if you go into this without any FF7 knowledge) or after this game if you really want to play the remake first.

Ive only just got to ch. 9 of 18 and I'm enjoying this game so far. I love how it included some of the memorable NPCs, like the couple at the train station and the teacher with the dubious night life. The dementor-like beings are interesting, and makes me curious what part they play in this FF7 reimagining.

There's a reason why this game is and has such a strong following. I played this game 23 years ago, and in-between 1997 and 2020, several other years I've dedicated to playing the other ports, but this title takes something familiar and does something very beautiful with it. It's a must-buy if you're a fan.

More than 20 years since I played the original, and the remake version is at least just as enjoyable for me. The changes to the game are a nice plus for me. And the deluxe edition bundle that came with the game are good collectors' items for fans of the game, but necessary if you just want the game .

Its a remake done right. The game is much different than the original in a good way. It provides much more in depth lore on the early parts of the original FF7. Graphics are amazing, Gameplay is fun and challenging. The only fault I can give this game is it can take a little while to load sometimes.

This game is a beautifully made game. I enjoyed having the feeling of nostalgia playing this game, as well as enjoying it as a whole new adventure. The graphics are have come a long way and this is great as a starter game into the Final Fantasy series. I'm so eager for the next part to come out !

Storyline is great, although it is only a segment of the entire story. The game play is really fun. Can be a bit challenging for people if all you want to do it smash buttons. You'll have to pay attention on when to defend, attack, use magic, or use skills. Graphics are amazing. Game is amazing.

I never thought replaying just one section of the original Final Fantasy VII would feel this amazing. This game is only based on the Midgar portion of FFVII, but it does a great job of feeling like a full standalone game. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a PS4.
