I didn't play the original FFVII, but I'm a long time FF fan who played many other ones (FFX, FFIV, FFXII, FFXIII, FFXV) and this is bar far the most fun to play. FFX story is a little better but gameplay-wise this game is next level.

FFVII is completely remade. This game is only part 1 of an unknown amount of parts, but it is worth playing right now instead of waiting due to story reasons. Don’t wait around and get spoiled from a YouTube thumbnail.

This game was fantastic, well worth the wait. If you played the original you will love the call backs to the original and all the detail this games story has now that it couldn't have 20 years ago. I can't wait to finish this story.

Old time gamers or new to the Final Fantasy brand...there is no way to be disappointed with the amount of work that they poured into this awesome classic. Your money will not be wasted if you delve into this chapter of gaming history!

One of the best games of all time gets better. Fast paced but thoughtful combat and amazing graphics combine to make one fantastic game. Highly recommended for lovers of asian women even if you didn’t play the original game! Awesome

This is a great remake of FF7. Combat is fun, story is still good with some expanded sections, and it looks great.

as far as a remake...this was great. I really liked the battle system and the controls surprisingly since i played the origional as a kid. But the ending was kind of meh. The story telling through the game was great though.

If you, like me, remember the original Final Fantasy VII game fondly, then there was no question that this was a must buy. While the game is only the first part in what will probably be a trilogy, the added content fleshes out the characters more and gives much needed scale to the city of Midgar. It's still a very linear game, but so was the original in the early going. The combat is a refinement of what was introduced in Final Fantasy XV, which isn't a bad thing in my eyes, but if you prefer turn-based, there is a "classic" combat style though it's not as fun. If you get the Deluxe version, you get a steelbook, an artbook, and a mini-soundtrack as well in addition to summon DLC. It's a neat package, and I'm very pleased with the money spent. Hopefully the wait for part two isn't too long!

FFVII has been my all time favorite game since it’s original release in 1997. I was excited but scared when I heard they were remaking it. However, they blew my expectations out of the water. Just as fantastic as the original!!

Being a long time FF VII fan I have been waiting for this remake with high hopes. Square Enix and teams did not disappoint! This games was everything I was hooping for and more; I'm really looking forward to the next installment!

So much fun to play a classic game in a new way. Updated graphics and gameplay just has me in awe and falling love with this game all over again. This was the game that got me hooked into RPG's and I am loving every second of it.

It's changed quite a bit from the original. More character development for some of the lesser characters as well as some new ones. So far the story is keeping me intrigued and I am having a blast with the reworked combat system.

FF7 Remake was almost everything fans hoped for. The visuals are amazing, the gameplay is top notch, but some changes for the sake of the Remake are going to not go over well with fans of the original. There is also some inconsistent visual quality through a large part of the middle of the game where environments are less than impressive while the main cast look stellar that breaks immersion a little. Still a solid game and would recommend playing through.

Had the original when I was a kid and I loved it then I heard they were remaking this and I really hope they didn't mess it up but they didn't they nailed it they went into alot of detail with all the Back stories it was great

One of the Best FFs ever. This should be their formula for future games. Best Buy did good too. Would've loved to get this on the 10th but it was the 15th. They always said the 15th n they made it happen. Pandemic n all.

Ooooooh, the nostalgia is worth it; I remember the original version with fond memories, and this is such a great trip down memory lane. Running it with classic interface, current-gen graphics, THX-headset...and it's all good

I have been waiting for this game for 20 years and it’s been worth it. This isn’t a remaster, it’s a revival and I can’t wait to see where this new branch of canon goes. I HIGHLY recommend this for both old and new players.

When I first saw the teaser at E3 I was excited but skeptical. Once I completed this first part of the remake, I am now excited for what’s to come, I wholeheartedly recommend this game to newcomers and fans of the original.

Can’t believe I’m playing this again over two decades later in a visually (and beyond) improved world. Cloud is still Cloud! Can’t wait to see how the whole remake series turns out once all segments of the game are released!

This game is very simple to start out with and it brings so many new and old memories for new and olds fans to enjoy together! I would recommend this to anyone who loves gaming and want to start playing a good rpg.
