I played this game when I was young, like a lot of people. So I have been looking forward to this game for years and I had very, very high expectations for it. This game did not disappoint. It looks beautiful, it sounds beautiful, and the game runs so smoothly. The combat, especially, is so satisfying. It’s exactly what I imagined in my head when I was little. Wish fulfillment to the max. It’s the best game for old fans, and it’s a great introduction for new fans to become familiar with this classic. 100% recommend. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed.

The remake was a bit controversial when it was released, but as someone who enjoyed playing the original when it came out, I really enjoyed this different experience as well. The game looks gorgeous, the action-RPG combat is better than I expected (not usually a fan, but it works well here), and story changes make the remake more fun than a simple remaster. Excited to see where they take the next part.

I played the original Final Fantasy 7 six times through and could recite every line. Needless to say my bar was enormously high for this game and it exceeded my every expectation. It's beautiful, expands on the original story and gives you a deeper connection and understanding for the characters and the plot. Definitely my current game of the year and while there are some juggernauts coming out this year, it was will extremely hard to beat this game. The deluxe edition's soundtrack and artbook were nice bonuses as well.

This is a total remake from the ground up of final fantasy seven. If you are a fan of the series and love the original you will love this remake. This game has unbelievable graphics especially if you use the HDR 4K graphics, soundtrack is amazing and I’m not kidding it truly is awesome. The battle system to some may be confusing or some people may not like the hack and slash but there are other ways to minimize that. I like it just cause I like that style of gameplay. This is worth the Admission price.

I'll keep this short and sweet. If you're a fan of the original Final Fantasy 7 (and even if you haven't played it), I highly recommend this version. They largely expanded on the story and even made some changes, but nothing I would personally consider controversial. The gameplay itself takes a bit to get used to, especially the battles. I'm personally not a big fan of having to wait on ATB to even use items, but it is what it is. Overall, I think it was worth the wait. I can't wait for the next chapter to be released.

The updated grafics and soundtrack nicely compliment the new engaging battle system. The storyline remains faithful to the original while adding depth to the supporting characters. This would be great for RPG fans who never played the original and good for FFVII fans wanting to take a trip down memory lane.

As someone that got introduced to JRPGS by the original Final Fantasy VII, playing this was like re-visiting an old friend and learning everything that they were up to over the past 20 years. It's old and new, refreshing but still very familiar. It was great to see Cloud, Aerith and the others again. The gameplay is updated and similar to Final Fantasy XV. There's less flexibility in picking your party members, but the battle system is solid and the weapon and materia systems are easy to pick up. A solid recommend.

Let me start off by saying I love FF7. I bought my PS1 to play it and maybe spent over 1000 hours playing and repaying it over the course of the PS1's lifespan. With that said, I love FF7 Remake. You can tell this was made by people that get the characters. Pros? Fun fighting mechanic, great graphics, story is amazing, and the music is on point. Cons? Its less RPG then the OG, more action, and FF7 Remake is just part of the games full story so they can still mess up the other installments. Over all, get it!

It's ff7 but in the modern day. Combat is excellent along with story and voice acting. Game looks like it did in all the trailers.

This is an amazing experience the fact that the story is expanded on gives fans of the original game new experiences and emotional reactions. The combat of the original was turn based which many people love however the this has been changed to resemble final fantasy 15 battle system which is amazing. This is an experience that fans and new comers can enjoy. Ff7 is a long story; long time fans dont expect the same experience, you will fell nostalgia from the origioal however the game is a brend new experience.

Love the original. Was the first final fantasy I've ever played and this remake doesnt disappoint! Wish it was the whole game but I would easily pay 10x over for how much work they put in to fleshing out the world, characters and adding so much that wasnt in the original game without it being boring or like a chore to get through. So much life to the game especially with it having voice actors this time around. The new cast of voice actors compared to advent children did amazing! Please play this game lol

I enjoy the game and story . I do know the ending is bit talking point from old fan but personal I like the twist and give me a bit fresh view to the game. I am ready for part 2 of the game and find out bit more. I am sure it will be just as great as the first one. also personally I will reserve me own judgment of the game once all the part is come out. because this is only just chapter 1 of the the full game. I know is little bit different from the original but I am enjoy it so far.

NO SPOILERS: So far I have nothing but good things to say about this game. The graphics are gorgeous. The controls are amazing and fluid. They feel appropriate for the times we are in but a sense of retro in it at the same time. The music score is breath taking and the story expansion is what would ever hope for to further develop our favorite characters. After playing the original game recently I can truly appreciate everything that has gone into this game. Highly recommended.

I strongly urge anyone who has played the original FFVII to play this remake. This game honors so much from the compilation of FFVII and extends upon it beautifully. There is so much to love, from the fantastic remixes of the original soundtrack to the exciting cinematic gameplay to the hilarious dialogue. Final Fantasy VII Remake makes me laugh as much as it makes me emotional, and I don't think I've ever been happier with a Final Fantasy game (which is saying something).

The game is amazing amidst alot of changes and fan favorite moments the game somehow captures the essence of the old game and gave it more than a new coat of paint the battle system is excellent and the graphics are polished when it comes to the main characters some of the texters on less important locations and NPC's are a little less polished than the main characters but this is a small gripe..The game is amazing and I cant wait for the next part hopefully I comes quick.

More than I could have asked for in a remake. Stunning graphics, fun new battle system, and timeless soundtrack!

This game has fantastic visuals, music, combat, and character interactions. It's a must have for any JRPG fan.

I played Final Fantasy when I was younger, have many fond memories of that. This game is great! It hits all of the nostalgia points, adds some new depth to the story, and has a seriously revamped interface with a complex yet fun battle system. The addition of the Chickabo and Cactuar DLCs are nice too. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks...er... I guess you can't compare it that way...eh....give it plastic surgery and then teach it new tricks!

The character graphics are off the charts wonderful. You'll see some background issues every now and again but the environments are generally well done too. The fighting system takes some getting used to but if you played FF15 you'll get it fairly quickly. Some new games and story elements have been added that dont feel forced but help flesh the story out. Game was well worth the wait. Just realize this is probably Part 1 of 3 or 4 games.
