It's an RPG bromance and it's awesome. I'm about 20 hours in and the story and gameplay are both amazing.

If you are a final fantasy purist you might not love this. Doesn't have the old turn based combat, but it's still a lot of fun.

I don't get why there so many good reviews about this game. Pros - the graphics and the combat gameplay.. Cons - weak storyline, repetitive side missions, longgggggggg drives, characters constantly repeat the same lines, party members will get lost and won't assist in battle. In short, this game can be summed up as.... as the kingdom of Lucis has just been conquered by Niflheim. Prince Noctis doesn't do his noble duties of defending the kingdom or marrying lunafreya. Instead he out fighting daemons, driving around in his car, and camping with 3 other guys(In which case 2 of the 3 seem to dislike him) Can't even enter or explore lucis. AND IT'S THE MAIN PROTAGONIST'S KINGDOM!!!! Only at the end do they give you a very LIMITED area to go around lucis.

The graphics for this game on the Playstation are top notch but from what i'v played of the battles it seems to be more of the same. Talk to NPC and go battle these monsters for me.

This game is clearly flawed, but there was also a lot of fun to be had for the 50-hour playthrough. Ultimately, it is about the bonding and friendship of the 4 guys, and that is developed very well. The story is a mess, the world is empty, the facial animate is dated, the camera controls are mediocre, and yes, chapter 13 is just as bad as everyone says. he second half takes just a few hours because they clearly rushed it out the door. It needed another year or two of development and some polish as well.

This is my first final fantasy game and I loved it. I can't wait to complete the game and try for a platinum trophy. PS4 rocks.

All of the Final Fantasy games are great, but could have have some continuity or be better tied together. Kingdom Hearts was surprisingly good as well.
