Enjoy the new battle system. Not the typical JRPG which I grew up on but I like it nonetheless

This game is a mixed bag at best. The story is utter garbage with a ton of plot holes some of which are answered in the movie + anime, but there are still way to many obvious holes to make it really enjoyable. The combat is also kind of a mess the 3 AI companions while cool add alot of chaos to battles and you'll find yourself just mashing buttons alot. Plus there is the magic/summoning system which is a joke Magic is now basically magic grenades which can easily cause tons of friendly fire damage making them almost useless and then there are the summons which are completely random you don't control them at all they just have the possibility of showing up during certain circumstances(usually when at low health) so in my entire play through they maybe popped up 5 times mostly during scripted events :P. The game however does a pretty good job with the open world areas however it feels completely incomplete since the last 1/2 of the game takes you out of the open world and pushes you into small linear levels that feel very poorly implemented. Really I would say pass on this game at least until it's sub $20 or they get through finishing it with the large quantity of fixes/content updates..

Fells like an old FF game, but with out the turn based battles. Such a great world to explore

not exactly the final fnatasy i remember but the scale is huge and the game is fun just wish the game would return to its roots..

The open world is massive and there is a lot to do in this game. Worth the pay of admission.

it isn't like most games... at least on the ps4 or xb1 . it kind of reminds of Xeno Blade on the WII U (very good game btw) I've never played a final fantasy game... i gave this a try... and i like it. i honestly just wish you could customize your characters more... the graphics on this game are not that good for ps4 or xb1 game... which is why i went with 4 out of 5. a game can still be good with decent graphics... so yeah not a game for everyone... but if you like to try new stuff... go for it
