The story is really good and fulfilling. The gameplay is amazing. The recipes are actually real recipes you can try out for yourselves at home! The only thing that could have been better is I really wish they didn't include the "rest of the story" as DLC

I'm not a huge fan of Final Fantasy. I've only played VII through XI before this. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the real time combat, and not to mention how absolutely stunning the game looks. Don't miss this if you're an FF fan.

As a long time fan of Final Fantasy series, I wasn't disappointed. Mega fans like me tend to have very specific things in mind when a new iteration comes out. I'm an old-school fan of turn based battle systems, however, this battle system grew on me quickly. There's enough strategy once you unlock new abilities and enough flexibility with the "wait" mode that I always enjoyed running into battles. The graphics are drop dead gorgeous. The story is more engaging than some other Final Fantasy's (like I said, I recognize my bias), mainly thanks to the great character development within the main playable characters. As they say, whether you're a fan or new to the series, you should get this game.

Been a final fantasy fan for quite a few years. This game is great and I love how seem less the transitions for battle, story, and exploration are. No load screens everytime you encounter an enemy.

A technical marvel. Beautifully made, and shot at times better than Hollywood films. Good combat, engrossing characters, and just a really fun all-around experience. I'm glad Square pulled it off.

I was a little skeptical about this game because I never played FF before, but the game really got me. There is a ton to do, it's one of the best looking games ever, and the story is pretty good.

A young prince on a trip that changes his life. Driving across the vast expanse with faithful friends and guardians to face his destiny! Great game play and beautiful graphics. Oh and Chocobos!

First Final Fantasy game I've played more than 30 minutes of. The story is phenomenal and you really get to know all of the main group to an emotional level. Gameplay is off the charts nice.

Don't let the headline fool you. That in no way means the game is incomplete. The way it's designed is for lots of play outside the main story. It's beautifully designed and engaging.

This is the very first Final Fantasy game I've played and it is addictive! I love the story, graphics are great, and I love all the side quests you can play! One of the best games of 2016!

I play a couple rpgs a year & was hoping for a old school turn based game. Played the tutorial & thought it wouldn't b for me. Gave it more time & really started to like it. It definitely is wide open as well. Maybe the most in the series.

This is one of Square Enix best games by far, One of the best top 3 Final Fantasy games out there. You wont regret it, its very entertaining, great graphics, great story, great gameplay.

While this personally was a favorite game of 2016, it's slightly hard to recommend it to everyone due to not knowing how someone would deal with the issues the game as. The game has a notorious history to its chaotic development and that comes through with missing elements to the story. The overall plot is great, but there's so much lacking inbetween, that a lot of character progression isn't handled well outside of the main cast. Despite these issues and some bugs and padding to the games length, I really enjoyed the setting, there's a lot of epic momoments and a lot of the action is always exciting, the main squad is great and easy to like, and overall the story of the game was real very interesting and exciting. It's unfortunate the game isn't as legendary as it should've been, but it's still a good game.

The game had a different combat system from previous FF games but it is fun and very action oriented. There is a lot of content and a compelling story all the way through.

It's good to see Final Fantasy getting back to their roots. The new combat system is intuitive, but takes a while to master. There isn't as much magic as before, but it doesn't take away from the game. I do recommend watching the movie beforehand. It's two hours and definitely adds a lot of depth to the game and storyline... I actually went back and watched it again. There is A LOT of traveling. Make sure to spend your AP in the exploration tree first. That will increase your AP generation rate. Other than that... get after it and enjoy. Oh, I ordered the game through the Best Buy app... it was delivered in excellent condition and on time!

Great story, fun game play, but patience required. Has long loads and travel and the whole day/night thing can be annoying, but once you get in the roll of things, it's a great game!
