First of all - this game is huge. Even with the invisible walls and artificial inflation of the map size, the game measures distance between points in real-time and thus far it can take up to 12 minutes for me to drive from corner to corner. Thankfully there's fast travel. This game spent 10 years in development and it definitely shows it - in both good and bad ways. The Good: Interesting storyline with characters that have personalities Tons of stuff to do! Streamlined systems compared to former FF games Unique and engaging action combat system Fast travel Giant, beautifully conceived world Just the right amount of tutorial (I'm looking at you FF XIII) Incredible value for $/hr of entertainment The Bad: Warp-strikes and combat in general can lead to incredibly awkward camera angles, completely obscuring your view Early on it's easy to make one wrong step and immediately get murdered by an enemy 5x your level Lots of random glitches, nothing game-breaking so far Not enough character outfits! (thus far) Seems simple to take advantage of the experience/leveling system Tons of stuff to do! (Can be overwhelming at times) Not enough warp points Cindy's English voice (ugh) All in all, highly recommended, definitely my favorite game this year and may retain that title until the FF7 remake is out. Or Persona 5. Who knows? If you do decide to purchase it, you are committing to a 50-60+ hour game so know what you're getting into. Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've played a FF game, but I've always enjoyed the graphics and stories they had. I miss being able to jump right in to play them though. Waiting a half hour or longer for updates and instillation before you can even get into the tutorial seems excessive but that seems to be the norm now. Once all that was taken care of though, it was easy to fall right into the story and the game. Even just wandering around to explore.

I've always been a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Series. This one is different from the others I've played, but it is definitely fun in it's own right. I love the combat style, the graphics are just unf and the story is good as well. I'm about 40 hours in and probably about halfway through the game (lots of side quests). Definitely would recommend the game to anyone looking for a fun RPG

I have never beaten a Final Fantasy game at all. It is the fact that I am just not great at any of the final fantasy fighting or leveling up. Thank god there is an easy mode for this game. Yes, I am a newbie when it comes to these types of games. I do love the fact that this game is more hands on in the fighting. I do not have to wait for my turn to swing a sword around. It has gameplay, although, i hate the driving in this game. Other then that, i would recommend this game to everyone.

Final Fantasy XV is better than the FF 13 spin offs that just didn't quite grab me. I really give this a 4.5 as it isn't perfect but enjoyable overall

I didn't have high hopes for FFXV consider the last few games were flops after X, but I am a FF fan. This game blew my expectations way out of the water! Especially once you summon Leviathan! Sorry small spoiler. Anyway I would recommend this game for any gamer looking for a good game to play. The open world is great to explore! FFX is my all time favorite, but this is a solid second!

Definitely a game to pick up! An action rpg that delivers in cinematics, battle-system, and story!! Probably my only complaint with this game is having to pretty much learn and discover most things as you go. Not much of a tutorial, just the basics. But the battle system is simple yet complex enough to take several hours to master. Square-Enix really made an amazing rpg with this one!

Final fantasy strikes again. While it takes a little while to get some of the control down and the battle system once you get into it your hooked. I love that there are expansions to the game so i can go on further with the story. Been playing the FF series for over 20 years, no a single game has disappointed yet. This one is definitely earned its spot at the top of the list.

The story is not as strong as past FF games, but is still entertaining enough. The character development though is one of the best in the series. However, the real gem of this game is the gameplay. From the cooking/fishing/camping/hunting mechanics to the great (if not a big departure) battle system. It is definitely a worth FF game...and much better than the trash that was FF XIII

Followed this through development and was put off by a lot of design choices in the game. It came out, I wasn't interested. I happened to pick it up on a good deal, and wasn't expecting to really enjoy it. But it was one of the best FF games I've ever played. It moves at a good pace, you don't have to grind for hours, and the story actually makes sense. I highly recommend it.

Good Game, But Not the Best in the Series

This game is all around pretty good and innovative. This game started its development long before this year and the graphics take a bit because of that. The cut scenes are amazingly designed with an eye for majestic royal patterns and automobile designs. The gameplay is some of the best in the entire series and this is where the game makes its money (so to speak). The combat system is so strong that it makes up for all of the other hidderances in this year's FF.

For all its flaws – the dodgy camera, the lack of dungeon save points, the magic system, the bitty, oddly-structured plot – Final Fantasy 15 is the best single-player Final Fantasy in a decade. The new combat system is more action-oriented, but still surprisingly tactical, while the new focus on open-world exploration brings the game and its world to life. Crammed with character, choice and interest, it’s an RPG where the good times keep on rolling down the road.

Not going to lie, I hated FF13, total bummer. I have to admit, I was skeptical of getting this game, let's face it, 4 emo dudes driving around in a car? It seemed weird.....but this game rocks, awesome characters, good story, great open world, awesome quests/side quests. FF has never looked and played so good!! Highly recommended!! And for platinum seekers, pretty easy plat!

I haven't played Final Fantasy in years, maybe since XII, so I can't compare it to more recent entries but this game is great. The open world is great, the combat system takes some time to get used to but is excellent once you are familiar with it. It even says on the title screen: for longtime fans and new players alike. I do find that to be true, great game overall.

Open world really comes together for this epic tale. Although I wish you had more control over the car when traveling the world map.
