Surprisingly excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasnt sure what to expect going into this game. Being a fan of Final Fantasy since the first one, i was a bit underwhelmed by the sevey toned down “rpg” elements. (Gear, items, other playable characters) These all take a back seat to the excellent story and while different than it has been in the past I have been enjoying the combat a lot. The Eikon (summon )fights are heavily anime inspired and very epic. I would highly recommend this game.

Great Entry in thr Final Fantasy Series
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a blast going through this game. The story was darker than other entries in the series, seeming to take some inspiration from Game of Thrones and maybe The Witcher. The gameplay was fun and fast paced but traditional RPG fans may be a little disappointed if they expect it to have gameplay like previous classic entries. Think FF7 Remake and not FF12, for example. The massive battles and set pieces make it an epic adventure worth exploring.

Fantastic game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great voice acting, great characters, great story, great battle system, great graphics. This is a return to quality that a mainline single-player Final Fantasy hasn’t seen since 2001. I’m almost done with the main plot and have done every side quest available to far. The only negative is that the side quests are a big boring, they each is worth it as they expand your gameplay and reveal more about the world and its vibrant characters.

A great, sometimes slow, one time experience.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first final fantasy. I would describe it as a game of extremes. The main story was really good and had some really good bus fights, but sometimes the sections in between would drag on very heavily. Side missions were some that I was not incentivize to do with a exceptions. Combat was not exactly challenging, but it was fun most of the time. Overall, I would recommend this game as long as you know these things. Also, I believe this is a one time play through experience game in case that makes a difference.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Combat is exciting, fast paced, and phenomenal. Gorgeous visuals. Great storyline, though fair warning there are some touchy themes that may not be for everyone (slavery, dehumanization, and scenes of genocide). *Disclaimer the game is a fictional work and those themes/scenes are not targetting any races or ethnicities, but individuals with particular abilities (magic users) overall one of the best games Ive played in a while

Good game, but doesn't include DLC.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoying the game so far, I'd rate it higher than XV. My only complaint with this is there's now a complete edition that includes the DLC, so compare prices between the two before buying.

One of the best Final Fantasy entries
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great game from start to finish. Definitely a departure from other FF games as far as the battle mechanics go, but I had a blast with the hack and slash battles. The best part is obviously the story. If you don’t like a lot of lore and cutscenes, this isn’t for you. But the voice acting is top notch, the feelings cut deep. A fantastic game and highly recommended.

Not your standard FF gameEPIC and marvelous game!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent game just not your traditional turn based Final Fantasy game. The side quests and parts of the main quests can do without as many cutscenes though—the pacing is VERY slow in that regard. I don’t want to always have to go talk to a couple people —come back and then talk again through more slow dialogue to FINALLY get going. It’s also a touch on the east side. Other than that it’s a spectacular game.

A Good JRPG
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a lot of fun with, and I consider it one of the better JRPG's to have come out recently. I'll agree with people who say it doesn't really 'feel' like a Final Fantasy, but then again, what defines Final Fantasy? Storyline is excellent, gameplay is solid. I have few gripes, like only having one controllable party member, but nothing that distracts from the experience too much. I'd give it a 4.5/5.

Great Game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A deviation to the classic turn based gameplay of Final Fantasy games in the past, for a more devil may cry/bayonetta style combat. In my opinion the combat is great, but I think this should be a one time thing and not a mainstay for future Final Fantasy games. I prefer the mix of turn based and action like in FF7 Remake. The story is also pretty good so far. The graphics and performance are also very good.

Fun action game and captivating story
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't really enjoyed a final fantasy game since 9, but this game is giving me hope. The story is fascinating, the action aspect is new and refreshing although I do love my turn base games. The graphics are okay, though some scenes look more like an MMO than an rpg, especially after seeing the graphics from 7 remake. Overall, I'm looking forward to the future of final fantasy.

Great Game, Poor Pacing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High budget Final Fantasy that goes more into political side (similar to FF12 and FFT). Eikon battles are HUGE setpiece moments and the combat is a mix of Kingdom Hearts and DMC. The downside is the pacing. Each chapter starts with a broad political view between kingdoms and their conflict (great world building), but then transitions to MANY required fetch-quests that barely affects the story. After the chores, you are finally rewarded with a long corridor to fight mini-bosses and the big bad Eikon at the end.

A banger that gives you emotional roller coaster.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is no doubt that Final Fantasy 16 takes the long-standing series to new heights with its awe-inspiring visuals and thrilling gameplay. As a lifelong fan of the series, I can confidently say that this game has it all, providing captivating narratives, breathtaking visuals, and engaging gameplay that will keep players engaged for hours.

Fetch me my cutlass!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. I’d say ignore the early side quests until you get past the first “point of no return”. The boss fights are a spectacle to behold. All the abilities are great and you can make some crazy combos. The game is beautiful at times but it doesn’t perform as well as I think it should I’m knocking a point off for that. The story is pretty good but some of it had me scratching my head. I’m playing through it again right after I already beat it, that’s saying something I rarely do that.

Decent Action RPG that doesn't quite hit the mark
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story is decent and the gameplay is fun, but there's really no challenge here. Repetitive side quests and extremely useless equipment make the game feel generic and the lack of character development makes it forgettable. Battle system is fun but repetitive and you'll find yourself spamming the same combo for pretty much every battle. Overall it was fun and I did enjoy it, but I'd wait for a decent sale to purchase it. Feels like it was made 5 years ago.
