A decent game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For reference I beat the game, did all the side missions, and all other side content available to me on the first playthrough. I did not do new game plus. With that, I can confidently say that this is a decent to good game. It's by no means perfect or even great by any standard. The story for the first half is predictable, but the second half is more interesting. The twist that final fantasy games is just as convoluted as you'd hope in this game. While the main story is very focused, it just shows how out of place the extra content like hunts are. Needing to go out of your way to look for them when the story is basically always high paced takes away from the tension that's supposed to always be there. It might be good to just let the hunts pile up till you reach the end a chapter to not break the immersion as much The world is beautiful and even though it's not an open world, you have the freedom to go back to most locations when you want to. There's really no need, but the option is there if you want to see the views. The world is interesting with lush lush forests, endless deserts, great plains, and costal areas. It is probably my favorite part about the game. My second least favorite part was the dungeons. If you can even call them that. This game has basically no puzzles, no platforms, very few branching paths, and basically has very little going on when it comes to the dungeons. They're simply plain and boring. It's a hallway to a room, fight mobs of enemies, then another hallway until you reach the mid boss or boss fight. There was no creativity here other than the art direction. Even the treasure/loot is so boring here that you probably won't care if you miss a chest. It's very disappointing as it's the part I was looking forward to the most. My least favorite thing about this game is the combat. It's not just because they got rid of the ATB system; I genuinely believe the gameplay is too easy which leads it to be boring. I unlocked every available move in the game and I hardly needed to use any of them. You could beat the whole game with the first four moves you unlock. Even when you use all the tools at your disposal, it doesn't make the game more fun. The mob enemies basically die either through stun lock or dodging and countering everything. That's just with the meele, you can use magic and I've seen people play around that, but personally the magic feels bad. It's just a blast for the greater portion of the game. I was expecting so much more when I heard the Nier and kingdom hearts teams helped with the gameplay. If this was the vision the team had then it truly is a let down. Personally I think final fantasy VII remake had the perfect system to please new and old fans. That's about it. I could go into how bad the party feels or enjoyed the main character's growth, but I'll stick to the two things I liked the most and the two things I liked the least. Overall the game was good but by no means is it great. On a personal note the game isn't in my top 5 maybe top 10. Just like final fantasy VII remake though, I do think it's a good entry point for newer players.

Amazing Games
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Game is amazing i was a bit skeptical on getting it but heard good things on it and i was not disappointed. The story is a bit overwhelming and the game is slow to start bit once you bet thru a few acts it picks up. What i liked about this game as well is its not heavy grinding to level up somewhat as you play the game your character seems to level as the story progresses. Graphics are good huge boss battles . Didnt want to pay the full 70 bucks and got it on sale but seems like it worth the price tag.

Final Fantasy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game ceases to amaze me at every turn. Some of the side quests can get boring but everything is on point and the combat is fast fluid and leaves you wanting more.

Great, Heartful Story, if a bit long
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In typical Final Fantasy fashion, there are times where it feels the story is dragging on just a bit too long. That doesnt detract from the wonderful story that plays out, with fluid combat and wonderful characters to boot.

epic fantasy game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a gripping, cinematic action epic, FF16 is a masterpiece. However, if you are looking for a deep, rpg with complex systems and exploration, it might feel a bit hollow.

My Game of the Year!!

A game meant for everyone.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a sucker for anything square-enix and this game is no exception. Besides from the deviation from the already established turn based combat, this iteration in the series is a breath of fresh air. My only concern is that your first play through you don't get an option to select a harder difficulty. The real game starts on the second play through. Long story short, in the initial play through you only get to level 50 at maximum. New game plus or Final Fantasy Mode unlocks high level capacity.

Nice constructed game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It had a long storyline which i apreciated in the video game. The game flowed nicely. The battle scenes were pretty cool and long. And youre able to roam around a little bit more into the game just like the last but it reminded me a little bit more like resident evil map wise. Large but limited map sizes for each area, or more like Hogwarts. Some of the movements like turning and correcting the charachter back into center was a little bit "foggy" and not very clear which made me a little sick or woozy. They couod have matched the worss with the movement of the mouth better, i think, but overall it was a great game. I havent played final fantasy for a very long time so it was nice to get back into it. Overall, it was a good constructed game.
