Final Fantasy XVI is my game of the year so far! I absolutely love everything about it. The story, the combat, everything is phenomenal.

The combat is eh but the story is good. Game is also incredibly beautiful and sometimes it’s hard to distinguish cutscenes from gameplay

Game is very pretty and cinematic. It's a great story. Game play is very easy and linear to start. A little tweaking to accessories and the game is a lot of fun and a tad bit more challenging

Feels like a modernized ps2 action RPG. Combat feels great, awesome voice acting, and the best dog whom you can pet and play catch with

The demo convinced me to get this game, and it's been fantastic. It's fun with an epic story, and it looks and plays beautifully.

For those of us who have been playing the FF series since the 1980s it's really disappointing to see how bad this game was. I've never bought a FF game and felt like I didn't at least enjoy it ...many over the years haven't been stellar but they were pretty much all playable. This was the most monotonous, boring game I've ever played. No open world ...not even an overworld to traverse. Just fast travel, corridor, pointless treasures, mini boss, rinse and repeat. The battles are so easy it almost doesn't require user input. The world LOOKS beautiful but since you can't actually walk to any of the scenery it's just a backdrop for the boring corridor you're stuck in at that moment. It would be at least somewhat forgiveable if the storyline was compelling. It is not. The side quests have all the depth of terrible MMO side quests. The main storyline is once again convoluted, poorly explained and painfully boring. I have played most FF games at least 10 times each....this one I can't manage to stay interested in long enough to complete. I truly hope you're listening square enix. I'm far from the only one who thinks this too. I've discussed it with friends and family and pretty much everyone agrees this was a major missed opportunity. Time to evolve your games or make it truly the FINAL fantasy.

It’s a little darker than the last one I played but enjoyable just the same. Sorry Best Buy, gonna have to return it because it was on my Christmas list and now I have three copies. Everyone knows I am a FF junkie

Great game. Respects the history of the series while bringing gameplay to the next level. Mature, well thought story with fun combat.

Tried the demo and got hooked, love the graphics and the story

I will say I do kinda miss the old days of turn based Final Fantasy games. This is definitely more of a devil may cry, I wish it atleast played like FFXII but the story was mainly what I was interested in and I can say it was worth it. There are also a couple expansions expected. If you’re on the fence with this and FFVII rebirth I’d go with rebirth and wait for this to be on sale.

Absolutely breathtaking game, not a traditional final fantasy by any means but still an amazing story and fun combat

This is a great Final Fantasy game if you're a fan of the series. Ignore those who only like RPG games Ignore those who only like harder action rpgs like (souls games or w/e) This game was made for all types of players in mind. You could go the easy route and equip things to auto dodge for you and auto combo. Or you can take off the safety rails and learn to play how the game was meant to play manually.

Excited to play the next Final Fantasy game. This one has a great storyline, beautiful graphics and gameplay. Another winner!!
