I wanted to like this game more, but just couldn't get into it. I have been a FF fan since number one (including all the rereleases) and just couldn't find the FF heart in this game. I was taken out of the action by the amount of swearing and mundane monologues. I really felt like I was playing a PSP game at times due to the lack of effort in the interactions with other characters. Some of the graphics were great, but not what I expected. It's worth a gameplay, but not really a FF game.

It came right after release date. With in a week I almost beat the game. Continuing side missions for that 100%

Boss fight are dopamine injections, side content has good worldbuilding and storytelling, but isn't as exciting.

One of my favorites on the PS5. Puts you in the mind of Game of the Thrones

Got a copy of the game from best buy.. when i went to download it read my disc as mlb 16 the show.. exchanged my copy and the second copy worked fine

I was duped. You know the saying? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me? That's what this feels like. From my experience with Final Fantasy XIII, I should have known better than to jump on the bandwagon of a game that got so many raving reviews. Final fantasy games are a hit or miss, and I should have waited to jump into this one, maybe when it wasn't seventy bucks. But, because I needed a game to play and I had heard from fellow gamers that this was an incredible game, I bought it. And what a mistake it was. Hour-long cut scenes, and not the kind I enjoy. The characters were so stilted and...perfect? They almost looked like robots. Terrible gameplay. I just keep spamming buttons every time I enter battle. And then there's the question of the "open world" aspect of this game. The plot is linear and leaves very little room for exploration. It's trying to be The Witcher, but it's clearly not. Unless you're a hardcore final fantasy fan, stay away from this.

My husband loved it! He is a huge gamer and it was a gift for his birthday. Hasn’t stopped playing it!

Haven't played it yet, bought it because it was on sale. But everyone I know that plays it says it's amazing so I'm really looking forward to it

Ive never played final fantasy before. My buddy said it was amazing and i could pick it up from any of the entries so i went with 16. So far so good, but wish there was more stuff for me to do or less time in cutscenes

Excellent game, but just a heads up, it is a bit darker in tone than previous entries. Easily 60+ hours.

One of the best games this year. The only downside is the unoptimized performance which is disappointing.
