Poorly written story, basically its one character amd dog fighting very repitive battles with dull cut scenes. It was a struggle to finish amd to care about listening to most awful doalogue towards emd.Feels unfinished but supposed to be full story.

Game is flawless other then they don’t give the preorders anymore if you don’t place it months in advance I’ll preorder at GameStop over Bestbuy from now on at least they fallow threw on every pre order

This review is of best buy making it seem like you get a steelbook with a preorder when in fact I got some worthless digital download instead. I would easily have bought this game somewhere else if best buy wasn't offering a steel book. I am not the only one with this complaint. Best buy clearly didn't mind if the copy on their site was vague if it meant a bunch of people would be tricked into buying the game from them instead of somewhere else. Not the biggest deal in the world, sure, but I definitely will not preorder anything from Best buy expecting to actually receive any bonuses they advertise and as a result I will just buy new releases from local stores.

I would have purchased a movie if I wanted to watch a story. I was looking to play a game but this game is linear and plays itself. Waste of money and time. Huge disappointment.I own every FF game and can’t believe what a let down this was.

I don’t love it. It’s just long cut scenes a small skirmish and then boss battle. Repeat. Disappointed. Haven’t played a FF since PS1 so maybe this is how it’s been for years but it’s not for me.

Where is the steel book for the pre order? I didn’t get it. The only reason I preorder at BB. Not anymore. But game is 10 outta 10.

I’ve been playing final fantasy games since its original game back in the 80’s. Some have been good, some bad, some ok. This one I have to say is in the bad category. I felt like I was just watching a game, not playing. It was…. Story, story, story, battle. Story, story, search and walk, few insignificant battles. Then mote story, story, story, battle. If I wanted so much story I can watch a movie. Maybe not my kind of game.

Preordered and the steelbook was in cart in checkout. But just got delivered today and didnt come with the steelbook.

damaged product. the graphics are gorgeous but bestbuy gave me a copy of audio reverberating in the bottom screen.

The game started off great, but I swear the animations and graphics got slowly worse as it went on. The game’s codex of information split between two people in your base. Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed(mostly), Diablo 3, and the Dragon Age games have that in the menu. The story felt like it dragged. Square seemed to think it was very necessary to make us understand that the evil empires, were in fact very evil.

The game isn’t worth the hype, its just filled with tedious filler and only a few good moments of gameplay

The game is 11/10, but BB it’s fail again not sending the pre order steelbook bonus.

The graphics are lagging in action mode and the blur is too distracting to enjoy the game. I can’t believe SquareEnix would release something this unfinished. Another generic title and the same as any open world sandbox game. It would be nice to see them pioneer some original games like they did in the SquareSoft days.

Good at beginning, but not so good at end. This. Was a first for me.

Was not impressed. The other final fantasy franchise has a better intro. I got bored with the game within 5 min. I tried to play it again and said nope. Was looking forward to it but I think I’ll stay with the old school Final fantasy like 7,8,9,10,15, and disidia

I was unable to play the game. It crashed and came up with an error message. I tried everything that it said on the internet to fix the issue. Nothing worked. Im still waiting for a patch to fix it. Would not recommend to buy until a patch is available.

The game is amazing, but they promise a steelbook case for you to buy it here and then they send the game and nothing else. It feels pretty bad to lie to the customers just for them to buy it on their shop. I have returned this item and buy it elsewhere.

Game itself is fine. Bestbuy's preorder bonus system is awful. Didnt get my steelcase even though when i preordered the game it was advertised on the website. The entire reason i preordered from bestbuy was the case. Do better.
