Terrible game play way inconsistent with previous final fantasy games

This game is pretty underwhelming. Wish I could return it.

This purchase came with late delivery and it was incomplete

My favorite FF dates way back to #7 and there have been some very good ones in between and some very bad ones, this one makes my top 5 without hesitation. If you are a FF fan just buy it and you will not be disappointed. As for the steelbook dilemma I understand your frustration but its best buy, they never have enough copies to fulfill everyone unfortunately. They need a better system with these pre orders especially for video games and the collectors trying to get a steelbook.

I’m only a few hours in, but I already know this game will be goty contender. I expected nothing less from the developers of the masterpiece that is FFXIV. FFXVI is another win in their books. Despite the game arriving one day late, and Best Buy making this mistake repeatedly with preorders, I simply just can’t give this game 1 star. It was made with too much love! Thank, Square Enix and Yoshi P. Thank you as well Best Buy, but please… do better next time!

Great story and fun gameplay. A little too many cut scenes in my opinion and the side quests get repetitive but the main story is great.

It's fun... For a little while. Then it gets repetitive very quickly. Missing a lot for a Final Fantasy game. There's no status or elemental aspect in battle aside from aesthetics, so not a whole lot of strategy. Dodge, stagger, damage, rinse repeat. There's ZERO challenge to the game except willing myself to keep playing. I read new game + is more fun but I shouldnt have to play twice just to enjoy it. The story finally gets interesting towards the last bit. Size quests are THE WORST I've ever seen. There's really no sense of item \weapon customization, you just get stronger stats. And you always just gain the next weapon by killing the next boss. There's VERY little enticement for exploring. No fun minigames. Barely-there party members you have zero control over. Idk, i would wait for a big sale for this one, and I've been a huge FF fan since the original PlayStation. This was a letdown.

Surprisingly great entry to the series! I was pleasantly surprised with the story and gameplay since square enix has kinda fallen off. Definitely recommend. Wouldve been my choice of the game of the year if tears of the kingdom didnt come out this year!

Solid entry in the Final Fantasy franchise, while combat deviates from the typical turn based shenanigans, Square Enix has developed another banger with fantastic cinematics, epic battles between giants, and a amazingly immersive story.

It's a fun game and good storytelling. The patient can be better cuz it's a little slow in the beginning but once it gets going it's a fun ride to have and fun game to play

Overall, i have enjoyed this game. Like many others have said, the graphics are fantastic and the combat is fluid and really enjoyable. I like that the game can be saved pretty much anywhere. However, the ridiculous, gratuitous use of the F word is beyond offensive, since it gets used hundreds of times by Clive in battles and by many others constantly. I wish there was a way to filter that out, along with the nudity and sex scenes. This is not what FF has been based on in previous games and i hope that's not the future of this franchise. Overall I enjoyed the main story but hated most of the pointless side quests.

One of the best final fantasy games to date. Great story, very dark. The playability is very customizable for less hand/eye coordinated people as well.

The frame rate is ok. Compared to other titles such as Demon's Souls, Forbidden West, GOW it doesn't compare. Ideally they should scale back all the particles and increase the frame rate. The game is very linear and when you think you can explore it's just a large field. It shouldn't have been priced as it is now. It's a $59 game. The story and acting is AAA, everything else is average. It's not FF7 and perhaps nothing will be. Although the fighting system is addictive, but since there is so much particles you'd think you're peaking at at a rave and hence the strain on the system

Story++, Graphics++, Combat++, it does have its shortcomings but this game shows Square is going in the right direction!

Inspired by Berserk and Game of Thrones. This is the best FF I’ve ever played. Combat, music, bosses, everything is so good.

Great game, great story, lovable characters, fun gameplay. It's superior to FF15 in my opinion. I highly recommend it.

This amazing game is 10 and Game of the Year for me. Ive Pre-orded FF16 3 months release date, customer l ordered early got the steelbook and Ive ordered the collector edition came with official steelbook and another one from bestbuy and digital bonus (sword and cat charm) emailed, the description says pre-order bonus will be sent untill out of stock. Understand being upset for bonus but giving the game 1 star because of Steelbook that out of stock are lame!
