It’s Fun for all ages, ours range from 3-7yrs old! I monitor what they are doing and for how long. Especially the Roblox games these kids are into now! They would play it on my phone until my phone was dead and then give it back, I have missed calls and messages. Our family is grateful for the Fire 7 for kids!!

Car seat sized and almost toddler tough

No protection for charging or media jack ports though. These ports are entry points for spilled liquids or toddler schmutz to reach and harm the main board - this unit was purchased as a replacement for exactly that problem, after a 3yo sacrificed his previous unit to the CapriSun gods. Upside, main board is simple to access and clean for those qualified to do so or just plain curious.
