I am completely hooked on this game. So many routes and replay value, such wonderful characters, addictive gameplay... I've only finished two routes so far, and this game just keeps on giving.

If you played any of the previous Fire Emblem games you'll know what to expect but with better graphics and a great story. I can't wait to see what else they do with this franchise.

This game is fantastic. My wife loved it so much I decided to pick up a copy for myself, and have not regretted it. Great story, fun gameplay. All the way around it is a must own game for the switch.

Gotta say, the first couple hours of this game did NOT feel like Fire Emblem to me, but once I got used to the strange setting and all the school nonsense and actually got to the combat, it grew on me quite a bit. I'm about 40 hours into my first run and I'm really looking forward to playing the other 3 storylines and really going ham with the customization. This is a WHOLE LOT OF GAME so if you want bang for your buck, this is it. If you didn't like the huge amounts of dialogue, relationship system, and non-combat features of Fates, you're probably not gonna like this game. All-in-all, this is a great addition to the franchise and I'm interested to see where they'll take it next. 9/10

I haven't finished FE3H, but I'm loving it so far. There's some unexpected elements for this series : you can change your look, get multiple endings, have more say in what happens... But I'm also surprised by the things I don't like. Namely, the graphics are honestly inconsistent enough to be noticeable (grainy floor textures, pixelated outfit details, etc). Compared to what I've seen in other games on my shelf, this was really disappointing for the higher price point. The game is also far more complicated than it needs to be. EVERYTHING - except for good combat - gets thrown at you immediately and really doesn't let up for a few chapters. It's like a never-ending tutorial to show off everything they've done. And the pre-battle screen will have you opening multiple menus to do things that only took one in previous games. It's so unnecessary. That being said, I really don't hate this game. Maybe it's my loyalty to the series since Awakening, but I think the pros currently outweigh the cons. (Both newcomers and fans recommended it to me, by the way.) It's fun getting to really explore and master all these new things. I love having so many characters, choosing dialogue options, and completing sidequests off the battlefield. It's definitely a well-rounded game in that sense. Whether people are used to the series or not, I think there's something in the game for everyone.

let me start out, i don’t play long games. 36 hours tends to push it for me. i prefer games that are high in quality, packed in content, and fairly short. (think Last of Us) this game easily takes 60 hours to play through one campaign - and there are three (with a fourth hidden campaign). i played my first campaign over 90 hours and immediately fired up a second. i was that engrossed. the game is a SRPG, with persona like elements in between. there are brief anime cutscenes, which typically isn’t my thing, but man we’re these beautiful. and each campaign gives a completely different spin to the story. well worth your money if your into this style of game.

A must own turn baed strategy for Switch. The story is more developed than any other Fire Emblem. Takes a few hours to really dig into it, then it's great. Super high replay value.

This game makes you choose 1 of 3 Houses to become their teacher and train the students in battle. Your choices make an impact on the story and the voice acting is great. Love this game.

This game is dope. If you have about 100 or so hours to set aside, get ready for a fun adventure. There is a lot to learn here and more content than you could imagine. So many systems and gameplay loops that will get you hooked after a while. I recommend casual mode for those who want to keep their characters and not have to reload saves and redo battles that are 40+ minutes long. Permadeath is tough loss! I This game rules, check it out. It’s likes X Com but with a Persona aesthetic. If that sounds like you, definitely pick this one up.

I've never been one to play the XCOM style games, they just never interested me and whenever I tried one (like Mario Rabbids) I would drop it after 2 hours. For some reason this one is just so addicting to me. The story is a bit anime for sure but I've enjoyed it so far. And that's also a good thing, it does it very well and the cutscenes and interactions are fun to actually watch and listen to. Combine that with the huge roster and it's a lot of content. Lastly the RPG elements make it easy to customize and tune your team exactly as you want. Great game, love it so far. If you're on the fence and need a game then just buy it.

An absolutely incredible game. Well, well over 100 hours of content and that's not even considering its replayability. The graphics leave a lot to be desired but we're coming from the 3ds, so I don't think many were expecting much. It's amazing to have an FE game with a great narrative and phenomenal presentation. Every single bit of dialogue is voiced. The world is phenomenally built and there are parts of the story that will genuinely shock you (I'm looking at you, unnamed continent of Fates). Major and minor characters who appear tropey at first but develop so much throughout the story and throughout their supports. A definite must play.
