I bought this game just over a week ago. Since then, I've put in over thirty hours, ignored the fact that I have massive papers due, and play this game far more often than I should. The story is compelling, the gameplay mechanics are wonderful and varied, as you have the combat side of it alongside an amazing social side of it. If you like having your heart ripped out because the story can get dark at points, and then moments later have some of the funniest dialogue and amazing character interactions, this is definitely for you. Absolutely amazing, and probably going to be one of the few games that I will actually finish.

Three Houses is a fun turn-based strategy game that also has interesting characters, a great story, and a fun hub-world to explore and interact with via the Monastery.

Good game, but can be tedious between battles. The battles, during more than the first half of the the game, are pretty easy on “hard” mode. Only certain enemies and obtaining certain optional objectives present a challenge for veterans of the Fire Emblem series. I read that the battles get more difficult near the end of a play-through, so hopefully it does.

Best Fire Emblem game since Awakening. Everything they tried stuck. From the story to the characters, to the gameplay, both old, new, and returning, to the graphics.

I've played every version of fire emblem released in the US, besides the GameCube and Wii version, and I can easily say fire emblem three houses is the best fire emblem game to date. It has great pacing once you get past the admittedly somewhat slow beginning. The story is easily the most intriguing it's ever been. Characters feel more developed. And the strategy combat is more open than ever. For any fans of JRPGs and/or strategy games and/or sim games, I would highly recommend fire emblem three houses

I can't say enough about how much I've enjoyed the game. The mix of RPG elements combined with a strategy battle system make for a great experience. This is the type of game made even better by being on the Switch. The turn based nature of combat makes it so that having to quit out in the middle of battle is no big deal. It is easy to feel like you've made progress even in short (e.g. 30 minutes or less) play sessions but you will certainly feel the hook to play for hours at a time. Fans of RPGs like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, or Persona and tactical strategy games like XCOM should absolutely give this a chance.

This is the first Fire Emblem game I’ve played in a while, and it’s become one of my favorite games on Switch. The tactical combat is really easy to grasp and it’s fun to build relationships between the characters through each battle. The replayability is also really good, since there’s four different paths to take and multiple characters to befriend or romance, depending on who you like. I can’t say if it’s a classic Fire Emblem game, since I’m not well versed in the series, but I’m definitely going to be checking more titles from this series out.

You were once a dedicated mercenary. Now you'e a teacher to a bunch of students who are, in fact, your peers. Would they look down on you in spite of your lineage and way of life? Most of them are nobles, future kings and queens even. Would they not have immeasurable expectations of their teacher? A grisly war veteran like your father would've been a more fitting suitor of a tutor. But apparently, your sword swinging skills and ability to maneuver troops with tactical grace was enough to convince them of your greatness. And so begins the tale of one young man's tale of conviction to hook up with one of his/her students.

My son 15 loves this game wish he give me a chance to play. Now have to be honest I think enjoyment is increased when the Switch is broadcasted thru the TV. Otherwise you pick your faction and do the quest from what I noticed when my son plays. The stories are very detail and talking is super long so be warned. I teased him when I went to the bathroom, fixed a snack and he was still in the dialogue with his character. Graphics are fantastic for the Switch nothing on PS4 Pro level but they are suited for the Switch. Wish I could give more in depth review but overall seems to be a great game.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect with this fire emblem game. I only played the mobile game, but this one is very different. There are a lot of cut scenes in the beginning. A little slow for my taste. But! It's surprisingly very fun also. In the game you will be instructing your clan members to level up their skills. Looking around and talking with people in the monastery and finding lost items. Also there is of course the battle aspect! If you're looking for a game with constant fighting. This game is Not it! But it is a nice change from the previous hack and slash games I've played in the past.

I'll start by saying that I genuinely love this game way more than I thought I would. When I heard the original premise, I was a bit skeptical, but fear not - all of the Fire Emblem mechanics you know and love are present in this game! It's also a fantastic game that new-to-the-series players can start with. Fire Emblem is similar to Final Fantasy games in the sense that every game is unique (with a few exceptions) from one another, so you don't need to have played the Fire Emblem games on the Game Boy Advance to understand this game. I recommend it to all my Switch buddies and I'll recommend it here too!

Amazing strategy RPG game. Whether you're a fan of the Fire Emblem series, or the genre and looking to jump in, this is one of the best games for Switch and a must own. The social/school system can seem a little intense at first, but you can choose to ignore or go as deep as you want, so there's something for everyone. A lot of characters to recruit along with multiple paths and endings provide great reply value.
