Turned-based fun!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long time fan of the series but this is my first fire emblem game for a home console, and I have got to say Intelligent Systems has knocked it out of the park. I've have done two playthroughs (1st as the Blue Lions, 2nd Golden Deer) and enjoyed my time very much. The gameplay is similar to what you'd expect from fire emblem but it has some quality of life improvement and a little more freedom on how to customize your units' roles. Story-wise, this game has some great lore and characters which makes this fantasy world very interesting, and as you finish the story with your choosen leader and thier respective classmates you'll soon want to replay this game again but with a different faction to see how the story will unfold differently.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I literally played this game and replayed for 8 times, even though there are three storylines, it's still worth playing after a while, I spent like 500+ hours in this game

Excellent Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.:No spoilers: FE3H is a fantastic game with lots of content and phenomenal voice acting. There are three different playable houses each with a unique roster of characters so there’s a ton of replay value. I was concerned about font legibility issues on the Switch Lite before purchasing but I can report that I’ve had no major problems with that, though YMMV with your eyesight. Get this if you like turn-based strategy games or social simulators. And even if you’re new to the genre be sure to play on Hard mode to avoid turning the game into a cakewalk — Easy mode is extremely easy.

Great even if you're not familiar with the series
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fire Emblem: Three Houses has been a great game so far. The reviewers are not wrong. The gameplay and the plot are great and significantly different from previous Fire Emblem games. It is quite refreshing to see an alternative take for this series. It is quite formulaic and systematic since you're in a school setting with the different ways of developing relationships to gain allies and to train characters to level up, but the missions/battles that contribute to the story are very exciting with the correct level of difficulty if you play on Normal and Casual. Even though I have only owned this game for a few weeks so far, I have been inputting 2-3 hours a day ever since I bought it, and it does not get old. I'm excited about the DLC and all of the updates that come with it.

I wish the graphics were just a bit better but otherwise love the gameplay, story, and characters! Recommended.

Different from Fire Emblem of old, but amazing
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Fire Emblem fan for a long time. I hold a special place in my heart for Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. Three Houses is a completely different experience. Path of Radiance was driven by a strong story, endearing characters, excellent levels and a excellent protagonist. In Three Houses, the characters are wonderful, but the protagonist is bland. Strategy takes a backseat and few levels of memorable. However, despite its drawbacks Three Houses still manages to pull you in. Managing the student and recruiting who you want is fun. While the story has its ups and downs, being able to witness the same story told from three different sides is excellent and intuitive. All in all the game is amazing and I would recommend it to just about anyone.;

Best turned based RPG in the past decade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Fire Emblem experience. I'm not a big anime consumer, so some of the feel of the game was off putting to me, however, the gameplay and storyline was intriguing enough to pull me in. I beat my first play through in about 60 hours. I wasn't a completionist by any means, and I was figuring things out, but I'd say that if you only play it once, 60 hours is pretty good for a single player game these days. There's four alternate paths you can take, and I immediately started my second play through, although I have been less dedicated. There are some QoL things it offers you with each playthrough, which makes some of the grinding less painful for subsequent plays, which is nice.

Never played FE before. Now I'm hooked!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is Harry Potter meets Persona meets a tactics game. Fire Emblem gives you the freedom to play the phase of the game that you enjoy the most. Do you want to focus on exploring the monastery and building relationships with your students? Then automate the combat to skip through it. Do you want to focus on battles instead of the relationship stuff? Automate the school exploration so that you only actually play the battles. It's awesome that they give the player the choice to play what they want. In my case, I am playing every bit of this game by talking with each student, having tea, doing side quests, manually lecturing, and playing every battle. So far I am 45 hours into my first of three campaigns! If you own a Switch, you have to check this out.

Fantastic Game for the Switch
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend this game for both veterans and beginners alike. This one gives you the same flavor as the past games while having it's own unique twists and turns that don't leave you feeling like you have to have played the other games to understand. You can follow multiple story lines. It gives you the option to play in classic mode or casual depending on your playstyle. Classic has perma-death for your characters which can change your story and brings different gravity to all of your choices. Casual allows your units to retreat to fight another day if they're injured to death. They've introduced a new score of characters to pair up and fight side-by-side with. It's a great tactical game mixed with a fantastic dating simulator. Great Game!

The Best Entry Yet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 Houses is the series' best game to date of the U.S. releases. I affectionately call it Fire Emblem: Hogwarts Edition. There are lots of minor improvements on the game that I love, while still keeping the FE feel. One of my favorite aspects of 3 Houses, is that you can customize your party more than ever, with class "lessons" that focus on which skills to bolster first. Seals are used to them take "certification exams" to unlock a Class. Characters have higher or lower success rates of passing based on their lessons and combat exp. There is a lot of content in the game, which might overwhelm some at first, but I think the game does a pretty good job of rolling those out over time. All in all, solid installment for old fans and new ones!

A unique Fire Emblem
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't finished it yet, but this is the most unique take on a Fire Emblem game that I have ever seen. You don't need to do any grinding if you don't want to which is nice. The story is also really interesting.

Love this game
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly love this game. I didn't know anything about the Fire Emblem series and bought this because it was on sale. I'm not even through the first section of the game, but it is so good. I like how the story is told and the combat system. It's pretty easy to pick up, but the lore might be a bit confusing if you know nothing about the franchise like I did. It's explained well though, just took me a little bit to get used to the method of storytelling and that it unfolds more slowly and naturally. Also, when playing I think headphones or a private enough area that you can hear the sounds and voice acting is greatly helpful.

Great story and addictive Harry Potter like play
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great story with addictive one more battle gameplay. Strategic battles are awe inspiring compared to the older 3ds entries. You must be willing to invest serious time because it will take upwards of 50 hours to get through your first play through. Offers three different story lines from different house leaders perspectives that really pushes the replay value on this epic strategic JRPG. Highly recommended for any JRPG lover.

Best Fire Emblem to date!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game is fantastic! Fire Emblem at it's finest. There are just so many options in this entry. For people looking to get into the series, this is probably the best one so far. The other reason this is the best one to get into so far, is because it feels like a step forward for the series, in terms of graphics (previous entries used sprites or lower graphical models made for the 3ds), gameplay, and story development. There are plenty of paths and options in the game to give multiple playthroughs interesting. If your into Strategy RPGs this is a good introduction.
