Customers are saying

Customers enjoy Fire Emblem: Three Houses due to its engaging gameplay and rich story. Many players feel the game has great overall performance, top-notch voice acting, and plenty of replay value. Some players find the higher difficulty levels extremely hard, and a few think some of the maps are repetitive and the game is not fast-paced. Overall, the game seems to be well-received.

Not really anything too special. There's fun to be had here, for sure, but the time between story events both rarely makes sense and can be a slog, and few of the characters are anything special. The cast certainly has some stand outs, but all around an 'ok at best' experience.

The story or characters never grabbed me and I found the gameplay to be too easy and simplistic although I only played on normal. Not a fan of the art style either. Seems to have a lot of content with 3 story routes though.

The entire point of the game is to teach students and have conversations while doing mini missions so that your team can become stronger. When you play the actual gameplay it is nothing more than a glorified RPG game of chess. It does pass the time but for the cost it is better cheaper.

I know I am in the minority here but I didn't think the game was very captivating. I loved Awakening on the 3DS, but since then the games just feel a bit stale.

I like turn-based strategy games, but kinda hate this game. It might be that I'm not a huge fan of anime. I'll leave it at that.

I've already put many, many hours into this game. Without a doubt, Fire Emblem Three Houses has become my favorite Fire Emblem game and possibly my favorite Nintendo Switch Game. I've beaten the game once already (40 hours), but the replay value for this game is insane. I would definitely pick this game up if you're a Fire Emblem fan, a fan of the genre, or if you're on the fence about it. The turn-based, top-down, RTS-like combat system is still the main feature of the game. Just like previous titles, you have many ways of approaching combat and tactics. Three Houses also takes elements from previous Fire Emblem titles, such as Combat Arts from Shadows of Valentia and marriage from Awakening and Fates (no child units). There isn't much to complain about gameplay-wise, though there is a lack of class diversity among the Master-class units (most of them are mounted). The best thing about this game is its story and characters. You get three main branching paths of the story with each of the houses. Each house has its unique cast of characters, and I can't really think of a weak character or a bad character in any of them, save for a few "trope-y" characters. I won't spoil the story, but it gets gripping around the middle of the game, which is when I really got sucked into the game. As for negative things about the game, I have little to say. It can be annoying to mow down an entire map of units with reinforcements and traversing huge or annoying maps (deserts). The whole professor gig and teaching might throw some people off, too; there is a lot to learn about the new system if you want to be efficient. Overall, I would buy Fire Emblem: Three Houses at any price, on sale or not. It has really become one of my favorite games of all time, and I'd recommend anyone to give it a try if it sounds interesting.

Even though the game came back to tactics like the originals, the game is not the same. You are a professor instead of the mission and the long story. You take on mini missions and barely fight. You have to earn points and money in order to fight. It was not interesting.
