I'm a big persona fan and am excited to say that this is the perfect persona like game on the switch. Of course it's definitely not a clone or knockoff, its a fire emblem game first and foremost. Those who are fans not much to explain. There is so much to do and am excited for the whole experience.

Fire Emblem continues to be THE strategy RPG. as with all games, there are going to be some things you don’t like, but from straight up gameplay, you can’t beat this. Awakening and Fates we’re both excellent and Three Houses builds on these formulas, adding twists of its own. Highly recommended!

Old fans and new players will love this game. The gameplay is addictive as you sculpt and build relationships with your teammates/students. The combat is top-notch. There's a lot of information to take in at the beginning of the game to understand all of the mechanics, but it is worth the effort.

If you are a fan of Fire Emblem, Three Houses is a must buy. I have put ~200 hours on this game and still have 2 of the 3.5 stories to play through. This isn't counting the DLC either. I love tactics games encourage any fans of the genre to pick this game up.

You Got Your Persona in My Fire Emblem!

FE:3H is at times a great entry in the series, and has tons of content and replay value, but the obvious Persona influence has fractured the gameplay experience. Unfortunately, Garreg Mach is not fully realized enough to justify its existence and serves as nothing more than padding to delay the gratification of the series' (mostly) stellar battles. It also doesn't help that this game seems to have been made on a threadbare budget. Character models are great, but the environments would've looked underwhelming during the Gamecube era. That is if they're even rendered, as support conversations stretch and warp 2D backgrounds into unnatural shapes to mimic depth. Those support conversations also get tiresome after a while as characters stick to their one defining trope (I'm a noble, I need to marry someone, I'm a female character in this game so I was abused and/or tortured somehow). Outside of supports, the mostly motionless characters weave a decent plot in cutscenes, but the main issue the story has is that it is entirely told and not shown. It's almost as if we're getting the cliff notes version of the events. Also, splitting the story into 4 paths (and an eventual 5th through DLC) only serves to fracture it further, pad it for "value", and make the entire experience a repetitive, grueling slog. Gameplay has seen a bit of a boon with a large increase in customization, but when characters have designated strengths and weaknesses, this is nothing more than a smokescreen as only a few classes are truly viable for each character. Also, most classes tend to do about the same thing, so don't expect any customization satisfaction on the level of Final Fantasy Tactics. This is still a basic strategy game as the series has always been. Unless this system becomes much more flexible, I would personally prefer a return to predefined classes instead of this homogeneity. In the end, I enjoyed this game but I hope this isn't the direction it takes in the future.

A great strategy game with great graphics on switch. It is a great harry potter sim if you don't know about the Fire emblem franchise and if you are a returning Fire emblem fan then I don't have to convince you just go for it. I recommend it.

This game has all the things you like about Fire Emblems games, turn by turn fighting, relationships and story. But now you search through the city and have the ability to bring new characters to your team. I have played about 20 hours and don't have any idea how close I am to be done.

A bit misleading above, as I did procure the limited edition at launch but haven’t opened it. I broke down and bought the regular edition so I could keep the limited edition NRFB. So far, LOVING this gameplay. My favorite part is the social sim aspect, but the battles are pretty fun.

About 40 hours into the game and I can say this is THE best strategy game currently available for the Switch and the best FE game. The combat is fun, challenging, but not over the top and is set up for a way that a beginner or expert can both have fun and be challenged. Highly recommend.

Awesome turn based game, I thought it wouldn’t be my type of game but i grew into its style and Lore that has interesting characters that you develop. They nailed the action and strategic elements, and love to play it anywhere on the switch.

I've been waiting for this game since the announcement of a Fire Emblem game for the Switch and it did not disappoint. The story is much better than Fates on the 3DS and a lot of time and effort went into creating this masterpiece. Please try out this game—you won't regret playing it.

Lots of content and option. You can start from choosing 4 different storyline path. I was only able to finish through 2 storyline after over 200 hours of gameplay. Fun strategy game with the element of exploring the academy during non-battles.

If you're new to the Fire Emblem series, this is a great jumping on point. There are three stories to play through, plenty of job classes to check out, relationships to build, and, of course, the series well-known tactical RPG combat. If RPGs are your jam, this is an easy sell.

Super enjoyable game with lots of content. I've played a few other Fire Emblem games and I do have to say that the gameplay is some of the best so far. The story has been really great as well, and I'm very endeared to a lot of the characters.

It takes the best parts of the simulation aspects of Persona, and mixes it into a really refreshing Fire Emblem game. Don't let the simulation mechanics scare you away, it's really fun, and overall the game still feels like Fire Emblem. It's a fun, turn-based tactical game rpg.
