I like not having to pay monthly rental fees for a DVR!

Everything went smoothly and quickly. The sales person suggested having the product mailed to my home, rather than pick up at the store, because it would arrive more quickly.

This DVR works really well with my antenna so I can cut off cable. I bought a Fire TV cube to go with it because it makes it so much faster to navigate the menus and start streaming than my Fire TV stick (that still worked great). Only painful part is the guide is only on Fire TV not the IOS app.

Very easy installation and good integration with FireStick. I found that the video quality was not quite up to par so I returned the unit.

I got one for my parents and it suits their needs perfectly in combination with the Tobisha Fire Tv I got them for helping them to cord cut. Sometimes the audio desynchronized when viewing live TV however. Also wish you would add a toggle for weak signal error messages. At least the messages don't play when viewing recorded shows.

for those thinking of cutting the cord this is the last item to buy. you can now record all your local (nbc,cbs,abc,CW,PBS, ETC).. The interface is beautiful its just amazon prime.

I ended up returning this item. It really wasn’t needed for my purposes.

I cut the cord with this and won't be going back. Switching channels or apps is slow but I am very happy with my Recast.

After cutting the cord I tried several other options. None worked as well. The speed of the fire stick/recast configuration cannot be matched. No longer missing OTA recordings!!!

We watch a lot of over the air show and recently cut the cord for Sling TV. This is a great device to record all of your OTA programs to watch on your time and not only stream it at your home but also anywhere you want!

I really like that I can put it upstairs on my second floor and get better reception of my local stations in my living area downstairs than I can with the antenna hooked up directly to the TV downstairs.

I bought this to record shows on my Verizon Fios cable tv. Sales rep. told me it would work. It only works with over the air tv broadcasts so I returned it.

Difficult to schedule a future program for recording

So far the Recast is working great. I'm still adjusting to the new system. We watch antennae TV and now we can view our recorded programs on all Smart TV or with Fire stick.

Bye bye cable! Worked with an existing antenna I had set up for a tv in my garage. So far signal has been strong throughout the house.

That is actually what it was supposed to do. Good product.

Good product and the receiver got strong signal you can watch with two challenge at the same time from different devices.

Difficult to set up and not very straight forward. I needed geek squad help. Works fine now on TV it is set up with. The WIFI connection to other tv's in the house is okay, better with close tv's and not so good when the signal has to go through walls. I have ORBI so the WIFI is good throughout. Makes navigation panel more convenient.

Overall works well but could use a few tweeks. Amazon needs to display the channel numbers! Now it only displays stations by the network name. Every once in awhile it will freeze up for 30 seconds and then recover. Im sure they will sort it out in time.
